More youtube business
I'm going to go over this again. Youtube must be mainstream. That doesn't amateur stuff. Got it? The Urinetown plays are fine, they're legit productions. Videos some students made aren't. I decided to allow that babysitter thing, barely.

I'm also instituting a further rule, after all I'm the "Demi-god Moderator" as somebody refered to me (DEMI-god, I'm insulted).

Any youtube or similar clips, caps, whatever need to have the link. Don't give a site and say go search. Don't post your youtube page. Have courtesy for the others and post the direct link.

Remembered to set the VCR for "Blade" tonight, but forgot one important part: no tape in the VCR. I assume nothing happened, but just checking for any Jill Wagner news.

"The New Adventures of Old Hitler" makes a lot more sense.

didn't see the beginning, but saw the last 20+ min which had nothing. Previews for the next episode imply nothing either.

If he was that god-like, he would have distanced himself from the Cards by now.

Re: Lisa McCune in URINETOWN
"It's been good fun to play Hope because I get to do so many different things," Lisa McCune says. Dancing and singing, even kissing the hero, you might expect: more surprising is that McCune's Hope is gagged and tied to a chair for the opening number of the second act, one of McCune's favourite songs in the show, Snuff That Girl.

"I was pregnant with my second baby when they approached me to be in the show," McCune says. "I knew that I'd be nursing a baby, so when I read that Hope is bound and gagged, I thought, 'Oh great, I can be in a musical and I won't have to do much'."

You Tube
Hey, it's real easy to play by the rules. Brian's Page, Brian's Rules and YOUR PAGE, YOUR RULES. Makes perfect sense to me.

Now this clip is of Christa Miller in a SJ and taped gagged, on a dolly wheeled in by Mimi.

See, that was easy, and I obeyed the rules. No one gets hurt!!

Nah, I've been calling him Old Hitler for years, its been a long running joke between us from the AG days that I resurrect every once in a while when he reminds people that we can take shots at him.

Of course we know that he's really a tin-plated, overbearing dictator with delusions of godhood!

Nancy Drew
The Vermont Country Store has six original 1930s version Nancy Drew books:

The Secret of the Old Clock
The Hidden Staircase
The Bungalow Mystery
The Mystery at Lilac Inn
The Secret at Shadow Ranch
The Secret of Red Gate Farm.

Couldn't find anything about Nancy Drew books in the data base.

Anything worthwhile in these ?

BTW, they ain't cheap, 17.95 each, or all six for 99.95.

I myself posed a similar question to the contributors to Brian's Page a while ago, and was rewarded with a very useful and detailed reply. A couple of readers had compiled a list of the Nancy Drew titles in which either Nancy or a female supporting character was placed in some sort of bondage. The bondage was even described; it was mentioned whether the female character was gagged or blindfolded, or both. Here is a brief list of the Nancy Drew titles featuring the intrepid female sleuth or supporting characters in bondage:

#3 The Bungalow Mystery (just Nancy, no gag)
#4 Mystery at Lilac Inn (just Nancy, gag, picture)
#5 Secret of Shadow Ranch (all 3 girls, no gags I think)
#6 Secret of Red Gate Farm (all 3 girls, no gags I think)
#11 Clue of the Broken Locket (Nancy and another girl, gags)
#14 The Whispering Statue (Nancy, gag I think)
#16 Clue of the Tapping Heels (Nancy, gag, picture)
#19 Quest of the Missing Map (Nancy and a couple other girls)
#21 The Secret in the Old Attic (Nancy, gag)
#27 Secret of the Wooden Lady (Nancy, George, maybe Bess?)
#28 The Clue of the Black Keys (Nancy, gag)
#29 Mystery at the Ski Jump (Nancy, gag)
#30 Clue of the Velvet Mask (Nancy and Bess, blindfolds)
#31 The Ringmaster's Secret (Nancy and George, gags)
#34 The Hidden Window Mystery (all three girls, I think gags)
#36 Secret of the Golden Pavilion (Nancy, gag, Ned also)
#38 Mystery of the Fire Dragon (Nancy x2, Bess w/ Blindfold, another girl, 2 pictures)
add: Clue of the Old Album 1947
Mystery of the Ivory Charm 1936
Scarlet Slipper Mystery 1954

I'll try and e-mail you the complete list.

Re: Lisa McCune in URINETOWN
I read an interview of Lisa McCune where she joked that she was pregnant and when she read that Hope was bound and gagged in the play she thought "Great, I can do a musical where I don't have to do much." She also said her favorite song in the play was "Snuff That Girl" which is sung while she's sitting tied.
Gotta like her.

It's in there, Here:

Record number: 3693

Title: Today's F.B.I. (1981)
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Mary Munday, Cathie Shirriff aka Cathee Shirriff

Description: Episode: "Kidnapped"

A kidnapper, disguised as an electrician, handgags a maid (Munday) before binding her with tape.

At three minutes in, the homeowner (Shirriff) is confronted by him. He brandishes a gun and tells her he's there for her son, and that no one will be hurt if she cooperates. He then tapes her wrists together, followed by her ankles.

The boy walks in during this and she explains that they're just playing a game and he should do as the kidnapper tells him. She's then tapegagged and carried/dragged into the electrical room, where we glimpse the bound and gagged maid already sitting on the floor. This scene lasts until four minutes and thirty seconds in (or, roughly, a minute and a half).

About a minute later, Shirriff's character manages to push the door open, giving us another fleeting view of the maid, and hops over to a nearby table, upon which sits a phone. She uses her bound hands to knock the receiver from its cradle and then punch in the number of her husband.

His secretary answers, and at first can't make out her muffled speech. There are a couple of cuts back and forth between the two until the secretary realizes something's wrong and tells Shirriff's character that she's calling the police.

Ms. Shirriff's in tennis wear: white shorts, light blue shirt, ankle socks and, of course, tennis shoes.

Hey AKW, thanks for the youtube tip. Pretty nice scene if you're not a gag snob. The song is pretty damn cheesy but the video quality is pretty good for a group I've never heard of (and I keep pretty good tabs on the Latin crossover music scene). AMIGOS FOREVER!!! LOL pero I digress.

I think the scene added a nice touch when she tells her captors that she will be rescued then during the video she sings as she sits in the back of the baddies' car blindfolded and handcuffed.

Garcias for the tip again!
