Saturday June 24 01:13:33 2006 "GH" |
Wow. No posts on Kelly Monacco? Shocked. Here's the latest from Friday. In the final minutes, Manny handgags Sam in bed. Sam lets out an awesome and terrified "mmmmffffff" while hand-gagged for a few seconds with a nice struggle as she lifts her legs a little.
The preview for Monday showed Jason on the phone, saying "I want to talk to Sam." Promo then cuts back to Sam handgagged in bed with Manny saying something like "don't make me hurt you." He did not pull out the duct tape in Friday's episode. This is the first time I recall a soap promoing a scene a week ahead and not showing the promo scene during that week's shows. The chair tie-up will likely come Monday, but hopefully a B&G scene before or after. A promo image on the ABC web site showed Manny pushing Sam against the wall while she was not tied or gagged. Likely he orders he to get dressed for transport. |

It sounds like a pretty good handgag, so I'll try to check it out on Soapnet this weekend. Here's hoping that this leads to a lot more next week. |

It really is a nice one, complete with on-screen gagging/re-gagging. And Laura Wright is also high on my list of potential DiDs. As "Carly" she definitely needs to find a way into trouble on GH. Her predecessor certainly did a great job of getting tied up. And I think she still looks fantastic! |

The Silk Stalkings scenes with Juliet Tablak and Poppy Montgomery are a fave of mine since its old USA Network run. FWIW, that season of the show is now available on DVD. The main scene with Poppy runs several seconds longer than your clip. It's not much different than what you already see, but completists might want to check it out. I think USA Network took liberties with some of its editing to squeeze in another commercial or two. There's also a scene at the end with Mitzi Kapture who is used as bait to find the killer. She ends up with one arm chained overhead before her partner arrives to rescue her. There are no gags in any of the scenes, but that's not an issue for me. The peril is definitely well done. |

Based on a deeply imprinted memory of the original airing, I'd somehow thought that there might be a bit more to that scene. > There are no gags in any of the scenes, but that's > not an issue for me. The peril is definitely well done. Yeah, I usually aim for gags in the updates, but this is definitely one of those exception-worthy instances. Adding that and "Whore Wars" from Season 3 (of which I also have fond memories) to my Netflix queue... |

Saturday June 24 10:31:09 2006 B&G while wearing a scarf |
Some reason I really like to see the DID wearing a scarf on her neck while bound and gagged. Probably because the villian could always take it off her to add to her gag or to blindfold her, or maybe just because of my scarf fetish.
The tv series Hunter featured a woman being kidnapped while wearing a scarf in one great scene. Anyway, anyone know of any good scenes where the damsel struggles while wearing a scarf? |

Saturday June 24 11:08:59 2006 Aaron Spelling dies: Some notable quotes |
This is from the E! article:
Angels premiered September 22, 1976, decried by critics as the end of the civilized world as they knew it, and embraced by audiences who made it the season's fifth highest-rated program. "It hit a nerve with women in the audience--women of all ages," Leonard Goldberg told interviewer Mike Pingel for the fan site, CharliesAngels.com. "And the guys didn't mind looking at them, either." Indeed, they didn't. One 1976 episode, the suggestively titled "Angels in Chains," in which the Angels go undercover in a women's prison, drew a 50-plus share--meaning more than half of all TVs in use were locked in on images of Kate, Farrah and Jaclyn in cuffs--as a rerun. "If we didn't stop ABC, they would have played it every other week," Goldberg told CharliesAngels.com. I love it!!! |

Oh man, I saw that episode listed on my Satellite guide but didn't watch or record it because there was no listing in the database. For the record, what kind of scene was /is it? Any gagging? Hopefully it'll air again. Anyone have any info as to when in the episode airs & how long it is?? Thanks, RR |

> Tip a glass to him sometime this weekend, folks. You know, I think he's one of the few of his gender who probably belong in our Hall of Fame. In fact, the challenge would be to go over to the IMDb and try to find something he produced that DIDN'T have any scenes.
---- My guess is that for over 20% of Brian's Pagers, our interest in mainstream DiD scenes was first awakened by an Aaron Spelling production. For some of us, that catharsis could have been during his "Early period" (Mod Squad, The Rookies "Time Is the Fire" episode), his "Middle Period" (Charlie's Angels, Hart to Hart, T.J. Hooker, Vegas), or his "Late Period" (Melrose Place, Charmed). Even his short-lived shows contained DiD gems (BAD Cats, Robin's Hoods). |
