A Few TCM Interview Things
Just finished reading an older TCM: The Beginning interview with the lovely Ms. Brewster over at Blood-Disgusting. Not too much is revealed of course, but I got a kick out of a few snippets. Oh, and confirmation for ONE tie scene thus far:

BD: What are you filming today?
JB: Well, I’m going to film a scene where I’m saving one of my companions, who happens to be female, so that should tip you off. She’s heroic in that definitely does sacrifice…, because she has several chances to get out and she doesn’t.
BD: What situation are you saving Diora from?
JB: She can’t move. I think she’s tied to a bed.

Cha-ching. Also, for a laugh,

BD: Are you going to take a prop home?
JB: I’m going to take a handkerchief that I wore that wardrobe is fighting me on, but whatever, because I really like it.

Let's hope that "handkerchief's" been somewhere other than her nose, eh? *coughgagcough*. Yeah, I'm a little crazy. So sue me. ;)

Is this another remake of the original? How is this different than the Jessica Biel version?

It's a prequel to the 2003 remake. The two films both borrow elements from the 1973 film.
They have worked into the prequel some of the famous scenes from the 1973 original that didn't make it into the 2003 remake.

That handkerchief sounds like its part of her costume tho, thats why shes fighting the "wardrobe" department. If it was a gag, it probably would have been from the props department.

Still, we can hope. I'll enjoy the film either way, cause its a Chainsaw Massacre film and it looks like theyve done a great job on it.

But I'll be skeptical of a gag scene unless theres solid verification. Otherwise it often leads to disapointment, followed by months of people slamming everyone involved with the production for "ruining the guarenteed scene", whether its the director, actresses, screenwriters, or the waterboy.

I usually blame the gaffer.

No problem. Didn't realize the topic was sensitive, and if I had I would certainly have left it alone. I notice you did post the email address, and also that the site is back up. My intent only was to protest against a post that was a little nasty, and I apologize if I simply added to the problem.

Day of Wrath
Pic is from Day of wrath, new Hungarian / American coproduction with Christopher Lambert.

Will be available in the US on DVD from late June.

It might be worth checking out - but I doubt the film will have a gag.

Your best bet be going over to Trades and asking about best Collector DVDs. I'll assist you over there for that.

For Discussion page,
suggest a search on "MBC-World" and "SBS", same as editors do for getting English titles.
Here a good one:
http://content.mbc.co.kr/e_mbc/drama_main.asp

Seen "Dae Jang-guem" on DVD- is listed as "Jewel in the Palace" on that site. Perhaps helpful in Korean vid store with that and the cast-pictures?

"SWAT Police" is on DVD, but can't yet find you picture reference.

Have yet to see "Lawyers" on DVD

There a site for the films (dean1 will know)
but most of the titles for films in the DB are either on the box cover, or known by the store clerks.

Good luck

Posting possible alerts on Alerts pages
I posted a couple of possible alerts on the VCR alerts pages, one being a Demi Moore original on TNT called HALF LIGHT on June 25, and one for I DREAM OF MURDER on Lifetime on June 11.

I'm not sure whether possible alerts should go on the Alerts Pages or not, but they seemed like high percentage opportunities.

There's also another Lifetime flick with potential this month called A JOB TO KILL FOR, featuring Sean Young. It already aired once on June 4 but I didn't see anything on Discussion about it. This one airs again on 27 and 28.

If it's cool to post possible alerts on the Alerts Page, and if no one has any info on this Sean Young film, then I'd say this one would be worth posting on Alerts as well.

Bandidas
Is there anything of interest in the movie "Bandidas"? I just downloaded it and I was wondering if there were any good scenes in it.

Thanks for the heads-up. The Demi Moore movie looks real promising.

"Best selling thriller novelist Rachel Carlson (Demi Moore) moves to a remote cottage on the Scottish coast. But Rachel's demons have followed her as loneliness and paranoia leave her not knowing what's real and what's imagination in the fight to save her life."

T Hatcher
"Teri Hatcher suggests using sticky tape as an easy alternative to plastic surgery. She confessed to using thick plastic sticky tape to hold her assets up"

Wonder if she recommends sticky tape as as alternative to cloth, gag-wise

Financial Times Ad
"The war of words between the world's two largest steelmakers shifted to full-page newspaper ads on Thursday as both Arcelor SA and Mittal Steel Co tried to win over Arcelor shareholders ahead of key meetings later this month.

In the Financial Times, a Mittal ad showing rows of gagged shareholders told Arcelor equity holders that they had the right to be heard."

Anyone see the ad? Probably a putzfest but there should be some dames.

Re: Hallbird ASIAN SCENES

*Caveat*
To add here, one of Dean1's forums pretty much confirming my suspicion that Japanese show "All In" originates out of Korea.
(Driving on the right side of road, etc)
Japanese gals there fawning over prettyboy "Lee Byung Hun", which sounds more like Richard Park, or Jim Paek, than it does a name like Paul Kariya

Still trying to sort out original Korean title,
but as yet still hearing about the lead's kidnapping, but no caps of scene.
Dean1's asian buddies normally least have caps up.
This one I'd suggest pressing for confiming of a B&G'd scene before spending any money on the DVDs

There's a "Half-Light" URL (see below), &...

(1) Demi looks *eminently* DiD-worthy.
(2) The movie looks more spooky & atmospheric that anything else.
(3) Think "Gothic/Romance" rather than "Action/Thriller".

I wouldn't get my expectations *too* high. (In fact, other than as a new occasion to appreciate Ms. Moore's pulcritude, my expectatiions are pretty low.) :-/

Yeah, somebody make a dBase entry, 'cause I really want to know what it means to have one's hands "chained in front to a heavy leather shoulder". :-)
