Site update
Let me add my sadness to the Major John news. His site was amazing in terms of quality clips from years gone by. I'm still amazed at how he got them all.

I was going to post an update message here for non-regular visitors since I'm going to be showing some rare scenes in the next month or so. An older VHS tape that I re-examined recently has some nice scenes on them, including a "lost" scene with Krista Tesreau from "Guiding Light" in the mid-1980s not listed in the database. Kinda like getting a brand new scene.

Site updates also include Character of the Month (Jill Wagner in "Blade") and the monthly caps contest.

Just to clarify, the actress in the scene that has just been added to your site is NOT Krista Tesreau (I don't know who it is.) The Krista Tesreau scene will be in a later update?

The infamous cheerleader scene, with which I'm finally catching up thanks to diddvd.

There are DiD scenes, and then there are DiD scenes. I feel safe in saying that this is one of the latter, so it's up on YouTube here:

Rescue Me
I watched the preview for next week's episode of this show. Denis Leary, the lead character, had somehow persuaded a stupendously beautiful blonde he met in a bar to accompany him back to his apartment. She is shown sitting on a sofa with him approaching her while ripping a long strip of duct tape from a roll he is carrying.
This scene looks promising; it may presage a bondage scene for the blonde hottie. I hope that she will be gagged if she is indeed put in bondage.

If I'm correct, this could possibly be Alexa Havins, better known as "Babe" from All My Children. I saw her on the previews a week or so ago for the upcoming season, and I remember her talking to him in a bar.

If we could only get so lucky.

Toby Keith
Just saw a video on CMT by Toby Keith called "CAN"T WE TALK ABOUT THIS" with a very cute actress (Krista Allen?) suposedly tied to a chair. Towards the begining, she sees what looks like a coffin and a shovel. She appears to think Keith is about to do her in! It turns out he is only walling her in in the basement. IN the end, it turns out he accidently walled himself in, and she just gets up and walks away! Cute little video.

Yes. I'm asking for help on the scene that's currently up. I don't know where or who the actress is.

Nope. The barn scene is the one we've all seen before. This one was a B&G scene in an apartment. Mindy was held captive by Beth's evil stepdad Bradley.

Clip will be up on Sunday morning's update.

Here's the episode blurb from the FX site:
-----
Discovery
Jun 6 2006 10:00PM

On a guys' night out, Franco is intrigued by a sexy older woman (played by Susan Sarandon), while Tommy finds himself picking up a young blond with a very annoying habit. Chief Reilly turns to Lou for financial help when he realizes he can no longer pay for his wife's full-time care. Dad's eighty-third birthday party ends in disaster as Tommy makes a difficult discovery.
-----
I'm guessing the young blond's "annoying habit" is talking too much. ;-)

I think the characters name was Blaine from the now defunct soap opera edge of Night..not sure of actress's real name.

YES, that is Krista Tesreau, bound and gagged in a barn, probably from the 1980s.

Alphabetical list
I have put together a 2-part list of 3110 mainstream bound-and-gagged scenes that I am aware of and I am constantly adding more. It is a Microsoft Works Database. One part is alphabetical by actress name, the other is alphabetical by title of TV show/movie/other. There are no descriptions, it is just a list, but it is a LONG list. This way you can SCROLL down it to see what actresses have been bound and gagged or what shows contain bound-and-gagged scenes. It would be a great addition to the database here. Is there a way that I can upload it here? If not, is there another site that I could upload it to?

Sorry non-gag lovers, but it only contains scenes with gags. What can I say? I'm a gag snob!

Die Hard 4-- bad news?
AICN has a review of the script for the finally-greenlit "Die Hard 4.0", and while I only skimmed it to avoid spoilers, one key component is different from what was long rumored: John McClane will be reunited with his SON, not his daughter. There's a female character who could get in trouble (a "tough-as-nails" fed), but it's certainly disappointing news.

Anne Francis is saying (for the benefit of her hidden microphone) "help, somebody, anybody-- mmfff!" when she's gagged, in "Honey West."

This scene is from Another World soap - the actress is Laura Malone, who played 'Blaine' on the soap from 1978-84.

Detective covers & PC-ness
> (unsigned poster) wrote: PLease enjoy these very old magazine covers. I'll stop for now, as I don't want to take up too much space!!

Loved your detective covers - They certainly don't make them like that any more do they?

One thing I just noticed while reading some of my Asterix books (yes, I'm a big fan!) is that the male characters always get tied up with lots & lots of rope (like the bard, Cacofonix) but for the female characters, their captivity is only suggested: gags, yes - but you never see any rope - wonder why?

I'm sure there must be heaps more examples where this kind of thing happens whether its books or movies

Scene ID request update
For those who might be looking for that page with the clips and caps of scenes I'm trying to ID, its URL has had to change slightly as Bindher and I work out the last few details of my main site. (Which I really do plan to *finally* launch in the next week or two, I swear.)

I've got a dozen clips there now, three of which have been identified by some of you good folks, and I'll probably toss up a few more over the next day or so. Enjoy. Pretty cool scenes for the most part, IMHO, or I wouldn't really care what they were. :)

Not certain about these but I believe 7 is Erica Gimpel in an episode of Profiler and 11 is Tamzin Outhwaite in an episode of Eastenders. I'm pretty sure 10 is not from Dr Who but I don't recall its source.

I've downloaded No 10, but now find I have to download 35 MB of player, which I can't afford on metered dial-up, so I can't play the clip.

However, I think it's from "An Unusual Way to Die", which is in the DB.

Scene 12 is April Telek from Camoflauge.

50% identified, give or take. Credit where credit is due on the download page.

Mad Dan: sorry to hear that the QuickTime installation is a barrier, and thanks for the tip. Does anyone know more about this British series supposedly entitled "An Unusual Way To Die"? It's not in the IMDb, and nothing comes up on Google either. Yet the description in Brian's DB matches Scene 10 nicely, though I seem to have been spared some putz action in the clip I've got.

Anonymous poster having trouble with just Scene 8: I just checked to make sure that I produced this clip the same way as the other ones. If you're still getting nowhere, email me privately, and I can probably get it to you in some other format.

Scully: D'oh! Should've recognized Erica in Profiler, given that I'd already clipped it a couple years back, and at higher quality to boot. (If it's a TV scene and unreasonably dark, it must be Belgium, er, Profiler.) Thanks, and likewise for the Eastenders tip.

Re: Scene ID request update
I can't view the clip (not upgraded to Qucicktime 7 yet), but I recognize the photo as being this:

Record number: 8512

Title: Witchblade
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Mizuo Peck

Description: Episode: "Nailed" (2.17)

A psychotic serial killer has a fetish for the fingernails of his victims in the episode "Nailed". Near the beginning a victim is bound and gagged in an unusual way -- a tape gag secured on top of a cloth cleave gag. Later the killer kidnaps the niece (Mizuo Peck) of Pezzini's partner. She is hooded, tape-gagged and tied her to a chair in a lengthy scene. There are scenes of her being transported while bound as well. During her captivity, she is mmphing into her gag while hooded to which the villain says, "I love that sound." She's rescued before the serial killer can start torturing her.

Lifetime movie - Ties That Bind
So I finally saw the repeat of this on the east coast tonight but parts were blacked out by lightening storms. The title seemed to directly allude to the fact that both married partners were tied (strapped) with hospital restraints by the villianes, and of course the obvious family reference. I have two questions for those who actually watched the whole movie:

1) Why were Nicole's straps changed from spread eagle to hands in front with waist strap? That is: when and why did this happen?

2) In the scene where the bad girl had the husband strapped down how did she get the straps on him in the first place, and why?

Thanks, there was no way to understand these points because of the storm.

The DB entry is mine. I saw the last (second?) ep of this mini-series purely by chance around 1998 though it was a few years old and had been kept on ice. As far as I know, it was only shown once, on BBC2 IIRC.

I recorded the tie-up scenes, but needed the tape later, and the reception was poor in any case. If that is the clip Major John ran a few months ago, the following notes I sent him apply:

"The clip, with some scenes missing, is from a BBC
mini-series called "An Unusual Way to Die", shot in
the late 80s and screened just once, in the early
90s.

Still not in the IMDb, and I regret I can't find
actress details.

At least one ungagging and regagging is missing, and
there was originally a nice shot of the damsel being
dragged out to the rail with the putz, puffing and
straining at her tight gag."

Kenny, an occasional contributor here, knew a bit more about the show, but his post was years ago, and probably can't be found now. It looks as if nobody has ever found enough info on this obscure pre-Internet series to assemble an IMDb entry.
