It did look like the first girl in the quick flashback. Aside from the quick scalpel work, these scenes are actually very nice. Great chair bondage and the gags are pretty decent too. Score another one for Medium. Thanks for the alert guys. I guess I'll be clipping later. Oh well, who needs sleep anyway? |

Tuesday January 03 04:33:24 2006 Medium Clip |
I'm feeling generous, it being the new year and all. Here is the clip for those who either missed the show, or don't get the show. It's in RM format and is 7.77 mb in size.
I cut a few frames of the gore, but other than that, it's pretty much as it was during broadcast. Pretty strong scene(s) to start out 2006. Let's hope this trend continues. Enjoy! |

Tuesday January 03 09:38:41 2006 Return of the white cleave |
Okay, it's wishful thinking, I admit, but after last nights two (almost three) white cloth cleave-orama on Medium it looks like the "year of the white cleave gag". Now, don't confuse this with nostalgia for the white detective OTM, which use to rule back in the day; think more like Skeleton Key, Brother's Grimm, Big White and now Medium; all white cleaves, tight enough, thick enough and sometimes very tight (like last night); btw, the song playing last night was an omen, IMHO.
This trend will continue, but lovers of gray/silver duct don't worry; the Big White had both (rare), a clear indication of the passing of the torch (a 25 year dominance). White cleaves have never been dominant, OTM was, I think cleaves are more agressive (think Dragnet 69) and now I think they are more "stylish", that is, thought of as realistic by directors and writers, and just maybe, sub consciously, people are feeling silver duct is over done and over used (plus, cloth is nicer on the skin and shows lips). Just a theory, I know, but so far this last year, white cleaves are hot. |

Not only for the clip, but for having the good taste to edit out the cutting scene. I don't know why the producers of the show felt it necessary to show that, especially since they showed the photo of her all cut up in the next scene. I think if Arquette just held the scalpel towards her face and I heard screaming,I could have figured out what happened next. Couldn't you? |

Yeah, having a damsel that is already bloody when a scene starts is bad enough, but I draw the line at blood being drawn during a scene. This is especially true when it's in such a graphic and sadistic manner, as those few frames that I cut out were. I just don't find that sexy or appealing in any way, shape or form. |

Tuesday January 03 17:41:09 2006 CSI: MIAMI |
Watched an episode from the latest series of CSI: Miami tonight here in the UK, concerning a murderer on Death Row, convicted for the axe murder of a woman and strangulation of her partner.
It's not in the DB strangely though, and I wondered if the episode had shown in the US, or maybe was not for whatever reasons they do/don't show some stuff? The victims were bound hands in front with duct tape and gagged with same. Flashback scenes, good quality, onscreen gagging of the female. A second couple is attacked later in the episode, the husband axed to death, the wife left tied and tape gagged but alive. Again, as she recounts the story, we see her nicely gagged onscreen. Sadly, I was taping the other channel and with family around, I could not switch the vcr to CSI (damn!). Just curious as to why this isn't in the DB already - you guys are usually pretty hot with CSI, and it airs with you before we see it here. Maybe it just slipped the net? (or I stupidly missed it in the DB, lol). |

If I'm not mistaken, that's actually issue #82, the (in)famous sequence where the incredible final-panel-bound-and-cleave-gagged shot has, by the next issue, changed to a set of chains with no gag (or explanation). Issues #82 and 83 also featured a cuffed and/or chained WW on the covers (by Brian Bolland). I don't think #81 had anything at all. |

Tuesday January 03 17:41:53 2006 Zatanna tape-gagged by Catwoman! |
I'm too lazy to go back & see if the recent Zatanna thread mentioned Catwoman #50 (Feb '06). Probably not, 'cause I *think* it just hit the stands. Anyway, without revealing too much plot, towards the endis the issue, Catwoman tape-gags Zatanna & then opens a can of whoop-ass. Zatanna defends herself & eventually gets the tape off. She's not bound during the fight, but her first attempt to remove the gag is foiled by Catwoman's whip capturing her left wrist. Catwoman's in her modern catsuit costume with the goggles, & Zatanna's in her magician's stage costume with the boots, fishnets, white shirt & tie, & black tailed coat. The story's by Will Pfeifer, the (excellent) art by Pete Woods, & the (equally excellent) cover [below] is by Adam Hughes. |

Tuesday January 03 19:19:25 2006 Damsels In Skirts (Or Lack Of) |
After watching that scene in Medium (most gruesome scene since watching "One False Move"), I must admit that the days of finding pretty damsels in skirts is over. Darn near every scene I caught this year had the lady in jeans. Ah well. I can always look at my old scenes with Samantha Eggar, Thordis Brandt and others in the good ol days when damsels showed leg. And sometimes a lot more.

"Generous' doesn't begin to describe it! Not only did you prepare the clip before I knew it was worth seeing, but removed the worst of the gore as well. Since I'm kinda phobic about sharp objects, the scene would have been ruined for me otherwise. Between your good graces, as well as Major John, Jay L, Kerhop, PantyDidCap and, well, anyone else I didn't name, I'm constantly exposed to stuff I might otherwise have missed. I plan to return the favor in a small way by signing up to post reviews soon; I've purchased films not in the database, and I'll get cracking on 'em. |

Tuesday January 03 20:27:45 2006 New BBC Cop Show |
"Life on Mars", starting Monday at 9pm on BBC1 (in UK), is a sort of retro cop show, in which a modern Detective Inspector is knocked out while investigating the kidnap of his girlfriend, or having just rescued her.
In a coma, he finds himself policing London in the 1970s, when the job was much tougher and less scrupulous. Cool quasi-SF scenario, and this just may have a scene or two, folks! Discussion on Rob's Damsels Forum, under Life on Mars. |

Tuesday January 03 21:29:06 2006 dukes of hazzard |
I was at the local video store today and saw dvd's of dukes of hazzard complete episodes from season 1-5 and also a few seasons of wonder woman dvd's. Does anybody out there know which dukes and wonder woman dvds have the bondage scenes on them? I would appreciate the help because it would be horrible to buy anymore of those than I need too! Thanks. Hopefully they will release the Zorro series from the 90's with all the Patrice Cami (she rules)B&G scenes and also the second seasons of the Hardy boys Nancy Drew dvds. |
