| Keep your eyes out for a new British film coming out Jan. 27 called "Nanny McPhee" starring Emma Thompson. Its about a very unattractive nanny played by Emma, who tames some horrible little brats. According to the review I read on Variety's site, it contains a scene where the brats tie their cook, played by cute Welsh actress Imelda Staunton, to a table. It also has possiblities for more scenes as the brats run off 17 other nannies before McPhee comes on the scene.
Mad Dan might have more info as I believe the film has already premiered in England. |

If my memory isn't mistaken, she was tied up for at least 2 episodes and there were long shots of her left alone to think. I remember the bad guy tying her up in multiple locations and regagging her. Must get our hands on the full 2 episodes :) Call me greedy ;) |

I checked on Imelda Staunton, a well-known character actress whom I'd never heard of as being Welsh. Turns out she's English (born in London) and just short of her 50th birthday. Still fairly cute, though, to a nerdy old goat in his late 50s like yours truly. :-) Never knew of the film before now, though. |

| So, it's now 15 minutes in and there's already been 2 scenes:
1) Pre-opening credits: Arquette picks up stranded woman, zaps her with a stun gun. Next shot is of said woman tied to a chair (wrist to chair arms, legs to chair legs) CLEAVE-gagged (tightly). Turns out this is a vision Arquette's having, with herself seeing from the killer's POV. 2) Cop finds different woman in same predicament. Pretty sure there'll be at least one more before this show's over tonight. |

All I have to do is play it back when RAW goes off :D If anyone missed it, simply let me know as I can easily put it on DVD for ya. |

John, for pointing this out. It looks like it may have been overlooked over the course of the New Year's Weekend. I managed to find some screencaps courtesy of Soapoperascreencaps.com. Hopefully someone managed to record this scene. It looks like it was a decent one, although the damsel was passed out. Unlike some other soap scenes, this one looks like it was over in a day. I'll post one image here and include links to four other screencaps (5 total caps). The Soapoperascreencaps site has over 190 caps of Friday's episode (mostly non-DiD caps) and that page takes a long time to load. | I just noticed that late tonite at 4 am Central (which would actually make it early tomorrow morning I guess!) this X-Files episode will air on TNT (I also posted on ALERTS page but since it's rather short notice I posted here also):
Title: The X-Files Medium: TV Series Actress: Gillian Anderson Description: Episode: "Ascension" (2.6) Scully's bound and cleavegagged in the trunk of her abductor's car. After a police officer pulls him over she kicks and moans to get his attention, but her captor kills the officer and continues his journey. All action takes place in the first 30 minutes, there may possibly be shots of a picture of Scully taken from the patrol car's vidcam after this. I stopped watching this time after she'd been "taken" by the ETs (not shown). |
