> I am not as familiar with Marvel Comics as I am with DC > Comics. How do her powers work? What does she do with >her voice? She sings and the sound of her voice mentally controls the listener. So there's an issue where she and her teammates get into one of those extremely cliche superhero misunderstandings and find themselves fighting the X-Men, and she uses her powers to try and force a few of the X-Men to turn on their teammates, but then Jean Grey gags her and renders her useless. |

Friday January 13 08:58:12 2012 Re: Album covers |
The Jadakiss cover is basically a ripoff of a Kane and Lynch ad. By the way, Ted Nugent's "Love Grenade" album featured a B&G and nude woman on its cover, but I won't post it here because of the nudity. |
Friday January 13 09:00:38 2012 Re: Album covers |
The ad is also available in an "ungagged version", by the way. I think they edited it because the original was "too shocking". |

I still remember the gagged version on a giant billboard over here in 2008 (IMHO it looked pretty damn good!), but it only stayed there for a few days. When it was replaced by the sans-damsel version, I had to wonder a bit since ads usually stay there for weeks or months. I only found out why after Googling it, although I already had a feeling it would be something to do with controversial, "objectionable" material. What's silly, though, is that I've seen some the well-known DiD scenes from CSI airing on TV in the morning & afternoon! Hah. |

Another missed opportunity,,, Interesting excerpt from Ebert review: 'I'm growing particularly weary of the wife/girlfriend of the hero whose life and children are threatened by vicious bad guys. It must be admitted, however, that in this film, the threatened means of death makes being tied to railroad tracks seem jolly by comparison...' |

I find the last line of the article you posted hilarious: "Channel 4 and Channel Five, which broadcast the TV ad, apologised for any distress caused." How ironic! |

Short scene in the episode airing Friday in the US. As mentioned earlier, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is taken hostage and shown seated with wrists bound to the chair. Very difficult to really make out the bondage. No gag. She is rescued near the end of the episode, and the bad guy is told "Untie her" which he does, then he is cuffed to the chair by Melody. All the action takes place in the last half of the show. |

Friday January 13 12:55:04 2012 Tifanni Thiessen possibility tomorrow? |
I don't watch the series White Collar, but I heard that the mid-season finale episode ended on a cliffhanger during which Tifanni Thiessen's character gets kidnapped! I think that the series resumes tomorrow! Do you guys know anything about that? Is it a possibility that my childhood dream of seeing Valerie from Beverly Hills get a decent scene could finally come true? The closest it's gotten to getting true was the finale of the series Fastlane that ended on a cliffhanger that showed her tied to a chair and injected with something, the series never returned though... Keeping fingers crossed for White Collar! |

Sorry I was wrong, it returns on Tuesday, not tomorrow! I also found this promotion site that focuses on her kidnapping http://whereiselizabethburke.usanetwork.com/ again, fingers crossed! |
Friday January 13 13:54:49 2012 Re: Black Listed |
Hey, guys. I picked up the 2003 flick Black Listed (yes, two words for some reason) on DVD from Netflix and checked it out today, curious to see whether the rumored scene with Victoria Rowell existed. Here's the good news: It DOES exist, and Rowell does get a closeup with a knotted black cleave gag. The knot is pretty thick, and it's removed onscreen. Here's the bad news: pretty much everything else. First off, the scene and the movie in its entirety are pretty much unwatchable. That's not speaking to the quality of the film, but the DVD transfer: The movie was filmed in a very wide aspect ratio, as you can see on the included trailer, but the DVD version of the movie just zooms in on the center of the screen. You literally are missing half the movie, and what you can see is REALLY unfocused and grainy. What actually occurs in this scene (and others) is flat-out incomprehensible. This is one of the rare occasions where the VHS version might look better than the DVD. (It certainly couldn't be any worse.) Anyway, We get a few quick seconds of Rowell gagged, but you don't really see her tied at all; I'm not even sure if she's tied, because it's incredibly hard to figure out what's going on, though it appears the villain has tried to make it look like she's actually the villain or something? Long story short, the hero gets the gag off her pretty quickly. Also, two other female family members are briefly shown bound and gagged with duct tape a minute earlier, just a single quick shot, but specifics are of the off-topic variety. So yeah, it's pretty much a wreck, but completists who dig attractive black damsels might want to scoop it up on Netflix, despite the atrocious quality of the transfer (which would make Sam want to toss his monitor through a wall). The scenes appear in Chapter 23, conveniently titled "Tied Up" in the chapter menu; it's about 1:08 into the film. |

A woman getting tied up on those shows is quite likely to end up getting her heart and/or soul ripped out, or her throat ripped open and her blood drained. If that's not nasty, I'd say it shows the depths which popular entertainment is plumbing these days. |

Friday January 13 15:46:19 2012 Re: Comic book heroines |
She doesn't usually get gagged, but the character Harley Quinn frequently ties up and gags people, often women. Her solo book had a few very interesting and lengthy scenes where she tied up and gagged women. There's even an adorable scene where she has a female cop tied up and gagged and tells her that she looks attractive tied up and that bondage clearly suits her. |

Oh come on - Vampire Diaries is really an 8'o clock soap opera - they don't show anything as graphic as you have described, not far as I've seen. |

From what I saw, no, she just mentioned being on the novela as 2 characters but nothing specifically about being bound and gagged. The show is 3 hours long so she may have mentioned it later. I DVR it for the beautiful Rashel Diaz so I will check out in depth this weekend if I get a chance. Ciao |

The scene was a blink and miss. It was full of flashbacks and the husband being killed and the wife sitting at a breakfast talking to the cops. |

Last good flashback is at the 9:52 mark. All in all not a bad scene with some putz interference. Scene starts right at the begining, but best stuff for the woman occurs after the intro when she explains what happens to her. As is normal with these shows there are flashbacks throught the episode but the only worthwhile ones are the ones I mentioned. |

Dang, what is wrong with you guys? This scene pretty much rocked from what I saw! I had the sound down while DVTR-ing it while working on a paper. but from I saw as I kept looking up, there were tons of shots of the lady (and I don't even LIKE tape gags!). Granted, many were kinda short but there were lots of them, and a nice one of her struggling to her beaten up husband while tied & gagged & getting his cell phone to call 911 & trying to get help. Just my opinion of course, but all in all a nice keeper and much more damsel footage than, say, "Whispers in the Dark", a scene which some folks are still trying to hoist into immortality! |
