| There might be something for Minka Kelly in the upcoming thriller film "The Roommate". Here's a plot description: A college freshman, Sara, (Minka Kelly) is randomly assigned to a dorm with a stranger named Rebecca (Leighton Meester). They start off as friends but things turn deadly as Rebecca begins to target people in Sara's life. Movie releases Feb 4, 2011 so there's a while to wait, but if there's anything it will have been worth it. This girl is supa-fine. |

| I figured if this movie was filmed in 2009, I could find a script for this, and I did. Sadly, nothing for Minka or Leighton, but it does mention the character Irene played by Danneel Harris is found bound and gagged, but she is dead. | Now, this may lead to several off-topic posts, so before I ask this question, here's another one: is there a forum where we can discuss bondage techniques and advice? This topic isn't necessarily mainstream and can also apply to commercial material, so if there's a forum dedicated to bondage help in general, I'd like to know. Now, the question: I've been watching scenes where the damsel has her mouth stuffed, and then cloth or tape secures it in. Isn't there the danger of accidentally swallowing the gag? For example, in the commercial vids; some of them are filmed in one take, and you see the model struggle and squirm on the floor, constantly rotating her body, but she never seems to choke on the gag, and we've already seen the gagger shove it firmly inside her mouth. Now, let's return to the mainstream aspect: in a movie or a TV episode, the director may say "cut" if the actress chokes, and have the crew remove the gag and then do it all over again. But, especially in TV series, there is usually no time for numerous re-shoots of scenes. |

Pertaining to the mainstream aspect, this isn't really answering your question, but along the same lines, I was just thinking yesterday (small world, isn't it?) about mouth-packing scenes on TV or movies. Sometimes when the gagging is shown, the director withh show packing being stuffed in the mouth before the cloth cleave/OTM/tape gag part, probably for realism. Or, if the damsel is already gagged, we see the ungagging in some detail and a rather big deal is made out of the damsel either spitting out packing or the bad guy removing it (ex. Whispers in the Dark, the scene from "Counterstrike" with the loggers)...again, probably for realism. What always interests me are the scenes where we do not see the damsel being gagged (so therefore do not know packing is involved) and when she is ungagged, it's one of those "no big deal made of it" types of scenes....either very quick or even way in the background & barely visible, but in that split second, packing is seen to fall out/be spit out. Packing was used but it's "presence" was so slight & quick that it hardly seemed worth the effort of the director to include it when he had the girl tied up, as the audience would only see that there was packing if they happened to look at just the right moment (examples: Rebecca Balding in SILENT SCREAM...her OTM gag is removed & the packing falling out is really only able to be seen in freeze-frame, it's so fast!...Kate Mulgrew in A STRANGER IS WATCHING, when she is in the van an her tape gag is removed & a split-second shot shows her spit out packing while her head is being covered...the recent scene in HOMECOMING, where when Jessica Stroup's OTM gag is removed we get a split-second shot IN THE BACKGROUND of packing being removed also. Obviously, the packing aspect wasn't in tended to play a major part in the scene, but you'd think if the director wanted to go thru the realistic detail of adding it, and making the actress endure the added discomfort of mouth packing, it would be "featured" more in the scene....many of these scenes the audience wouldn't even know there WAS pasking unless they happened to look at the ungagging at just the right time. Now, there is always the possibility of the scene being edited before release I guess & there WAS more of a focus on the packing, but just as likely not. Like I said....interesting. |
