I am watching yet another rerun of this film on FX, and there is some commentary interspersed with the actual film. One segment of the commentary is an interview with Jessica Biel, and it includes some extra footage of her bound and gagged. |

That's hella cool and I usually skip over the comic stuff posted here. That would have rivaled for the title of scene of the decade had this been included in the tv show. Was the comic based on the tv show or vice versa? Never heard of a Charlie's Angels comic. |

This post was deleted. Poster: JP Reason: I had previously ruled against this series as not mainstream. |

Unfortunately, she doesn't. She does mention the ordeal of filming a scene with a bulky and cumbersome bomb strapped to her upper body, but she never explicitly mentions the fact that she's bound and gagged while wearing a bomb. |

I'm sure the comic strip was based on the tv show. The angels are called Tiffany and Kris. Tiffany was not introduced until the third (fourth?) season. It appears this magazine Look-In was a British version of TV guide that regularly included comic strips based on current shows. |

Is that the footage where she's B&G with the TV station logo on the screen? I saw screencaps but never the scene, so it must have been capped from the DVD? |

Hannah spends most of the show with her hands still tied in front. She's let go at the end. not gagged today. |

I think the footage is behind-the-scenes footage; her eyes have a neutral, blank expression, so she's not attempting to convey emotion with them. |

I just researched the show on Wikipedia; according to the entry, the show premiered in 1976; if this comic dates back to 1971, then it predates the show by FIVE YEARS! I don't think that Aaron Spelling, the creator of the show, got the idea for it from an obscure British comic. |

I date is wrong, I can vaguely recall seeing that issue at the time and I was barely out of nappies in 1971, 78-79 would be a more likely bet. Look-in was a British comic billed as 'the Junior radio times', it mixed features on pop stars and TV shows with comic strips. Back then it was fairly easy and cheap to get the rights for a comic strip based on a TV series and they ran countless strips over the years (The Fall Guy, Bionic man/Woman, Knight Rider, Tomorrow People, The A-Team) There was another comic called TV Tops i think which ran along a similar principle. They had the rights to Heart to Heart for a while and their version often seemed to see Jessica get tied up. Better than that there was a three part Buck Rogers story that saw wilma kidnapped by a cyborg and kept tied up throughout. Beautifully drawn and in full colour |

Also, were there other Charlies Angels adventures with bondage? |

Look In magazine ran from 1971 to 1994 and was billed as the 'junior TV Times' (the TV Times is the UK equivalent of TV Guide). The best bondage scenes in the comic appeared in the strip cartoon version of the TV series 'Follyfoot' around 1974. The strip was based on a popular children's series of the time but was a more conventional adventure strip, drawn by the great English strip artist Mike Noble. It featured two kidnappings of the heroine Dora (who was always dressed in equestrian clothes), once by escaped convicts, and once by robbers disguised as cowboys! Dora was bound and gagged both times, and the second story (with the cowboys) featured a very impressive gagging sequence. Sadly, nothing like this ever happened in the TV series itself, which was a rather more sedate series about a horse farm in Yorkshire! I don't believe these stories have ever been scanned. |

Would it be possible to locate issues of this magazine in secondhand bookshops, which I'm sure abound in the UK? |

Interesting article at the link: Last night, Robbie took the trophy, turning at the last moment before he exited Dev's shop to ask: "Do you sell gaffer tape?" Gaffer tape! We know where that's going don't we, and sure enough before the episode is out Carla has been parcelled up and Robbie is off to collect Hayley for wrapping. And thanks to HD you can even see the texture on Carla's gag. |

I have posted 2 versions of yesterday's Corrie episode in the videos section--one in high quality and the other in high definition. After 6 years, they finally deliver a good one. Enjoy! |
