You're most likely correct. I purchased a copy of the issue in 1994, sixteen years ago, and recall showing it to a female friend, who was quite intrigued by the picture of Wonder Woman bound and gagged. I think that the reason Wonder Woman was unable to break free of her bonds is that her bracelets had been bound together by a man. Am I correct? |

When she's bound with rope in that last panel, they use the rationale (I even think the Ares wannabe monologues to her about it) that she loses all her powers when she's bound by a man. In the next issue when her bonds magically switch from rope to chains, wannabe explains that they're special high strength chains designed by STAR labs to hold metahumans as powerful as Superman. I know, its a bit confusing all the ways WW can lose her powers- there's the bracelet binding, tying her with her own lasso, and I remember in the first season of the TV show if you removed her belt she lost all her powers. |

Friday July 09 11:11:25 2010 Ursula Andress scene Her mouth is stuffed |
Was looking over a nice scene with Ursula Andress called Africa Express. Turns out in the end the gags are removed and the guy has stuffing but not Ursula. That sucks , but after looking over the early scene in the train I am convinced that her mouth was indeed stuffed at that point. I have a lot of experience with gags and that is my expert opinion. So you may want to reevaluate this scene. It is not at all uncommon for some girls to allow mouth stuffing and then later ask for none. Personally I do not accept that , but in big time movies it no surprise. This is a really great scene. |

"Barbara" (Colleen Zenk) was chloroformed again today (with a closeup). She had been locked in a room (unbound) and was looking for a way to escape. She opened a door only to find a brick wall behind it. Then (seemingly from out of nowhere) her mysterious captor came up behind her and chloroformed her. When she woke up, her hands were tied (in front) and her feet were tied. She was barefoot. Unfortunately, she was NOT gagged. There were closeups of her bound hands and bound bare feet. The action began after 30 minutes into the episode. The preview for the next episode did not show her. |

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but preview shows double DID both with wide white or off white tape gags, hands behind, sitting. Only saw a one second flash. |

Friday July 09 23:11:04 2010 Ummm, not to nitpick but... |
Hey, the discussion's been great and all, but does anyone know what issue of Wonder Woman that was? And if so, can you tell me? I've got a dollar bin dive ahead of me this weekend and would really like to know. Anyone? |

Oh, 82. Sorry. Browser skipped right the hell over it. My bad. I'm gonna get some sleep and try to forget my fatigue induced idiocy tonight. |
Bob, again. |
Friday July 09 23:21:10 2010 Redemption? |
Oh, I picked up a $0.25 copy of The Flash v.1 #318 based upon the "Tom vs. The Flash" description of it containing a "tied up" Fiona Webb, one-time romantic interest of Barry Allen. Sure enough, 2 pages of bound and gagged goodness - or as least as good as late career Carmine Infantino could muster. Worth picking up, even if you gotta hit the $0.50 bin. See, I can contribute after all. |
Bob, a third time for good measure |
