Help identifying an ancient comic scene
I'm trying to find information on a lengthy comic B&G scene from the early 1970's. This was from a comic available in the UK but what I believe was an American horror comic of some kind.

Pretty Blonde tourist girl on vacation in Paris is attacked in an alleyway by misfigured (or decaying) dwarf creatures who bind and gag her and carry her through the Paris storm sewer system. A handsome gendarme is in pursuit and the helpless girl managed to work her gag off for a moment and scream (alarting the policeman to her location. Tightly cleave gagged again she is about to be sacrificed to some evil god when the French cop rescues her.

Very extensive comic scene of the gagged girl being dragged and carried through the sewer. Does anyone have any idea what this was?

Unless they're really not paying attention, they should
know that the people there were virus-free, sent by the
government. The hood was almost certainly so she wouldn't
know where their camp was. As was the blindfold on the
return.

Many years ago during a rainy family holiday I bought a copy of this horror comic because of the bondage based story inside. Somehow the book was thrown out and I couldnt remember the name of it. In the early 80's I described it to the owner of a second hand magazine shop who pointed me at some boxes, none of which contained the comic but which DID contain a few copies of "Bondage Life." So in an odd way this comic was what showed me "I was not alone."

I had no idea what it was when I posted the request above but on a whim tried ebay and found this.

The level of knowledge and recollection among the regular readers and contributors to this online forum is astounding. A question may be asked about a long-defunct television series, or obscure movie or publication, and someone will almost certainly know the answer, and will very helpfully include the relevant Database Entry or picture. I myself have answered a few such queries, and have had some queries of my own answered.
Many of us still recall several defunct television programs and obscure movies that featured memorable bondage scenes, or are avid comic book collectors who almost immediately know which comic book someone is asking about. Those who freely share their vast repository of knowledge with their fellows on this online forum are to be commended and thanked.

Alazaar did similar illustrations for a story about a demonic circus. I think inhuman kidnappers work pretty well if the illustration is good.

Also in most comic books the bondage gets maybe a frame or two, this one the entire story is basically this girl being B&G and taken through the sewers with the cop in pursuit. Now I know what it's called I will see if my local comic shop has one.

Recently I read a novel Final Theory by Mark Alpert. It features 3 bound and gagged women (as well as ex-husband of one of the damsels and their son). The scenes are quite long and descriptive.

Gloria Winters passes
Sorry to read that Gloria Winters has died. She had a number of nice bound and gagged scenes on a 1950's TV show called Sky King. In interviews she would often tell how she was once left bound and gagged while the cast and crew went to lunch.

Movie: "A Horrible Way To Die"
The link below is to an article about this independent film. The article says the film has "a shitload of women bound and gagged."

This copy of "Ghostly Haunts" seems to get mentioned here once a year or so; I think it's fair to say that it had one of the biggest impacts of any comic on people pre-disposed to bondage. Especially noteworthy because it was published by one of the smaller companies. What other single comic issues (not just "all Wonder Woman" etc.) made really big impressions on young or even not-so-young readers?

Disappearance of Alice Creed
Unless you just can't stand ball gags, this is likely the new cham-peen of all DiDdom. Gemma Atherton is a total trooper through this thing - she's manhandled, stripped, re-dressed, spread-eagled, head-bagged, ball-gagged, fed and given 2 "bathroom breaks" while bound, roughed up a wee bit (nothing serious), injected, and definitely in distress. She spends most of the movie cuffed and ball gagged, with several removals and reapplications of the bondage.

This movie puts Ms. Atherton right near the top of the DiD pantheon - she has more bondage screen time in one movie than most DiDs have in their careers, and none of it is anything but secure. The clippers sure have their work cut out for them, but it's likely to be enjoyable work...

I would love to start the db entry for it, but after just seeing it once, there's no way I could compose one that would do it justice :-)

The movie's certainly not bad either, for those who care :-)

I dislike ball gags and all bdsm commercial equipment, strongly dislike track sweats and (this kind of) nudity (I know, weird, right?) so I have zero interest in this scene. However, I do like that it happened as perhaps that means more mainstream scenes are coming, it's a good sign I think. I really miss The Avengers, so you know where I'm coming from.

I like Van's mantra of "it's about the story," and one thing that was great to me about the quantity of bondage was that it was part of the story (YMMV or other applicable acronym here). Definitely emphasized the helplessness of her situation for her.
