The question is, what was it supposed to be in the context of that semi-scripted show. Again, why would the captors being doing anything else? They weren't concerned about her having a mask at any other time during captivity. |

She had a hood over her head in the other instances, which would be just as effective as a mask in containing "the virus". They also kept her kinda quarantined in that prison cell. |
