game show bondage
The best game show bondage of all time has to be the spanish game show that lasted a while had the girls handcuffed hands behind, blindfolded and holding a ball in their mouths trying to give a hint of the winning phrase. Imho the best ever considering it lasted for a long time.

Early last week, some thugs tried to kidnap "Brenda Barrett" (Vanessa Marcil), but "Sonny" was there and prevented it.

At the end of Friday's episode some thugs tried to kidnap "Brenda" again. They grabbed her. In the beginning of Monday's episode, the thugs put a knife to her throat and tried to leave with her, but photographers showed up which allowed "Brenda" to break away from them, run away, and get away from the thugs. There was no bondage. There was no handgag.

I don't know the reasons why, but criminals are trying to kidnap "Brenda". She could be kidnapped (and we could get a bondage scene for Vanessa Marcil) at any time.

It was a TV movie, therefore there would be no other choice than 1.33:1. Making it in widescreen would require cropping the top and bottom frames of the picture, which isn't what you want here, believe me.

Australian Radio Show
There was a fun discussion about bondage on this popular Australian radio show. See the attached:

Rebecca Budig's mouth covered by white shirt!
In Tuesday's episode of ALL MY CHILDREN, "Greenlee Smythe" (Rebecca Budig) was given a hug by "Ryan". There was a closeup of "Greenlee" as his shoulder covered her mouth, but not her nose. He was wearing a white shirt and it looked like her mouth was gagged with a white over-the-mouth gag. Obviously, this is not a bondage scene, but some of you may be interested in recording it. A vidcap of this shot could be made which could be turned into a "gag fake" picture with some retouching. The scene happens within the first 15 minutes of the episode. This episode will be rerun on Soapnet from 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM (eastern time) Wednesday morning and from 1:00 AM - 2:00 AM (eastern time) this coming early Monday morning.

Here's hoping they try again.

Just that it's a TV movie made in the 80s, and an obscure one at that, makes it's release really surprising. There have been other TV movies with scenes released on video (i.e. Blind Witness) in the past, but I've never seen one this old.

You young whippersnappers!

As you grow old and calcify (like me) you'll come to realize that *every* TV/Movie season is an exercise in frustration. Even when we're granted a gem (like Dana Delany tape-gagged and rope-bound in a dark warehouse in "Castle"), a week later we're all whining: "Please sir, may I have some more?"

It's only with the passage of time that the "good ol' days" starts rearing its lying head, and "Classic" shows start turning into non-stop bondage-romps in our minds. "Wonder Woman" was episode after episode of Lynda Carter writhing in bondage, and *always* with the same black cloth cleave-gag, right? "Xena-Warrior Princess" was really "Xena and Gabrielle-Warrior Bondage Models". "The X-Files" was "The Perils of Dana Scully", wasn't it?

There never was a Golden Age of TV DiDs, and there never was a "good season". I've never crunched the numbers in the database, either, but I'm willing to bet the DiD-scenes vs. time graph may wiggle around a little, but it's actually more or less flat, with no statistically significant peaks. Background noise, with a few minor blips.

Don't get me wrong. I don't live in despair. We *DO* get our gems, and I enjoy every one. :-)

Sons of Anarchy possibility
In this week's episode ,Gemma is on the run from the law and holed up in her father's house ,with Tiggs, the aforementioned father ,and the father's carer ,a fairly attractive latina .
Near the end of the episode the carer attempts to hold Gemma at gunpoint with the intention of collecting the reward on her ,the situation is reversed and Gemma frog marches her out of the room at gunpoint .
Could turn out to be a locked in the cellar scenario ,but ample scope for some bondage ,worth keeping an eye on .

The preview for next week shows the girl taped to a wheelchair and blindfolded. The preview also shows a rather violent escape, and her holding a knife at Gemma's throat.

There is a definite scene in the episode, only question is how good it turns out to be.

Obviously, it all depends on one's individual tastes, but looking over the scenes I kept, I thought the 2009-2010 season was pretty good. I think my interest especially peaks when it's a series regular who gets the treatment, and I think there was more of that last season than usual. The summer scenes with Gabrielle Anwar and Laura Regan on Burn Notice and Angie Harmon on Rizzoli help, but last season also had Erica Durance and Allison Mack b&g on Smallville, Joelle Carter get a couple scenes on Justified, Maggie Lawson on Psych, and Lindsay Price and Rebecca Romijn on Eastwick (though the latter's scene never did air on US TV). Non-gag scenes I liked also add Amanda Tapping and Anna Torv to my list.

Guest star b&g scenes I liked from last season include the aforementioned Dana Delany on Castle, Sarah Lieving on Criminal Minds, Nazneen Contractor on 24, Nicole Bilderback on Numbers, Ashley Leggat on Aaron Stone, Ashley Johnson on Lie to Me, and Jennifer Missoni on Fringe. I also liked the protest and pageant bits on one episode of Community.

Netflix ad
Saw a brief Netflix commercial last night done in the manner of a Bond film scene where the villain has the upper hand. Very quick shot of a girl with her arms tied or chained overhead. (So much a "blinky" that I couldn't tell which.) Maybe it's been mentioned before and I didn't notice. I've sort of always wanted the (anti)hero to say in a situation like that, "Do whatever you want to the girl, just let me go."

Only thing I've seen on "upcoming" ads aside from people playing tug-of-war with her was her being shoved into a closet. Still, hope springs, or at least crouches forward, eternally.

Re: Surprise Bondage
A couple from British TV. mostly from Chidren's programming.

In late 90s ITV Saturday morning show WOW Sophie Aldred hopped onto the set trussed up and gagged after finding her position usurped by one of the guests and almost 10 years later there was a near identical incident with Top of the Pops Saturday presenter Fearne Cotton

And a Christmas edition of The Big Picture Show saw hostess Mariella Frostrop OTM gagged with a red bandana struggling and mmmpphing wildly while her spitting image puppet presented some outtakes from the show.

Unfortunately cropping is a possibility. A while back I bought a made for TV movie (not DiD related) from Warner, who has a similar "made to order" DVD program. Despite being filmed full frame, the video transfer was cropped to fit the wider HDTV frame.

Even if this is the case, the improved quality should make up for this inconvenience.

Never heard of this one... What was the name of the show? Are there clips out there anywhere?

I'm sure I have the B&G cheerleaders from "Fun House" on a VHS tape somewhere... that was during my "misguided youth" years...

I remember seeing a clip on the internet from some French program that had a beautiful blonde woman tied and cleave-gagged on some kind of game show. Some guy had to undress and untie her or something like that.

Zatanna Bondage
Just a heads up for comic book fans.

The new issue of Zatanna was out today, and had a scene where she gets handgagged by a weird zombie-demon thing. She fights it off, but the hand actually snaps off the creature's arm while still remaining tightly clamped over Zatanna's mouth!

So basically, the book ends with her not being able to use her powers thanks to the hand gag, and she gets tackled and grabbed by some bad guys.

There used to be clips on you-know-what-tube under "Mexican Game Show". One of them started with "NO ME GRITES ... QUE NO TE VEO" No idea if that is the name of the show, or just that segment. [Grites is from gritar - to shout or cry; veo is from ver - to see.]

There was also another Latino game show called El Gran Juego de la Oca (I think) which featured female show staff in bikinis handcuffed to various objects, needing to be rescued by contestants.

It's on FX. Not sure of the day & time though, but I see previews of it on FX. Wouldn't be hard to find the info I imagine.
