Absolutely. I know I'll eventually start deleting a lot of these random scenes I've amassed over the years, which have never had even a second viewing. Half of them are in the collection solely because I saw a tempting thumbnail, and away went the itchy mouse finger. I guess it's the hoarders' mentality.

Getting the time to watch them all in order to decide WHICH ones to delete is another matter, however....................

Re: What's the point of all of this?
I tend to have the same problem although not so bad. Usually i can re-watch a scene that i like 50 times before forgetting it.
This one of the reasons because i share some of my old scenes. It forces me to re-watch them again. If you share you have to look back, to check if the scene is still there, if the video quality is decent if there's something to cut etc...
If other people in their comment like and discuss the scene that i posted, sometimes it lights again the interest that i lost for the scene.
In the end sharing for me is a way of keeping memory of what i collected.

Re: What's the point of all of this?
My thoughts on this are: I believe we seek new scenes to try and re-call the feeling we got from watching the first one that started it all. I'm told that heroin addicts go through this very same process; the first hit was always the best one and they always seek a repeat of it. Why do we hang on to them without looking at them for years if ever? I'm not certain, but try deleting them and I bet you can't make yourself do it, and if I have a computer crash, I start cursing, 'Ohhh S#%T!! I lost that one!! And Oh no that one!!!

Wolke Hegenbarth
Tapegagged and chained to bomb in latest Alarm Fur Cobra episode 'Der Anschlag' (aired Sept. 2). There's a video on You tube with clips from the episode which shows her chained to the bomb but skips the gag scene unfortunately

70's commercial
Okay - I know this isn't much to go on, but maybe someone has some idea of what I'm talking about. I remember a commercial from the late 70's - don't know what it was for. I just remember it involved a husband talking to the camera about his house getting robbed or something. Meanwhile, his wife is sitting there bound and gagged. He's turns to her a couple of times and talks to her, asking why didn't she . . .? (I don't remember the rest of the question. Does anyone at all remember this commercial?

What if you remember a scene, and experience a nostalgic desire to once again view it? What if you long to relive a memory from your youth during the 1970s and 1980s, when a particularly beautiful guest actress, who has long since faded into obscurity, was bound and gagged on a television program? That is why you guys record preserve scenes.
I would like to thank you archivists for wnabling people such as myself to enjoy scenes from past decades that I might've missed, and would otherwise have no chance of ever seeing.

Actually....yes. I started collecting around the same time as you, and, forgoing re-writing basically what you wrote, I am the same way. I go out of my way & even spend money sometimes (a scene is in a movie that is not on DVD & hence not available on NetFlix but IS for sale on eBay for 5-6 bucks...yep, I've bought it just to get the scene!), find the scene, dub it to my master (around 300 tapes at this point...one day need to convert to DVD!), it goes into the next slot in the VCR case, & it's forgotten.

I think it gets to the point of "you've done something so long you keep doing it, long after the thrill has kinda worn off"!.
Granted, I love initially seeing the scene, but it's like collecting coins where you file them away & never look at them, but can't stand to pass one up you need. And I imagine I will continue to do this for the long haul.

It's a strange world sometimes! :-). But yeah, I know exactly where you are coming from!

Dark Blue possibility
Promo for this week's episode showed Tricia Helfer with her hands ziptied in front, along with a putz. Just a quick shot, but don't think my eyes were playing tricks on me.

Judging by the last two mentions of this show in this forum there are a total of 3 scenes from this show? There's only one entry in the database and that was from the premiere episode.
