The Good Guys
SO what was the story on this past episode of The Good Guys? Id heard that Frances Fisher & Jenny Wade were seen tied to chairs & tape gagged. The it looked like only Frances got gagged, Jenny didn't. Then I heard BOTH were seen tape gagged once again. I just now got around to watching the episode (I TiVoed it when it aired ) and unless I am totally blind, no one got gagged at all. Both were tied to chairs but at non time did either Jenny OR Frances get a tape gag. Did someone actually see one (or both) of them agged and I missed it or what? Or was the episode I saw cut for some reason (unlikely I know). Thanks for any info.

Fisher was tape-gagged during the backtracking scenes that flashed quickly. Twice she was shown gagged. If you slow mo, you can get a full frame of her gagged.

Wade was not gagged in the episode, but possibly gagged in a promo that has not surfaced.

City Homicide
For Australian DiDfans, City Homicide had at least one scene tonight. I'll post the link to video at the other page, where perhaps cleverer folk than me can make a proper DiDvid out of it.

Re: What movie or TV show gave you the fetish?
Probably Jamaica Inn. There is something about Charles Laughton explaining what he's doing to Maureen O'Hara as he binds and gags her that was a big turn on. Even though there is no way that the gag could have kept her as silent as was portrayed, I loved the scene where he walks her onto the boat.

I was the same age as her at the time... so i figure it was okay... Alyssa Milano in Commando.

If i was to think about what would have got me as an adult... a scene i saw around that time would have been the scene in universal soldier, ally walker i think.

Good side question. For me, it would be probably be Vanessa Marcil in "Las Vegas."

Re: What movie or TV show gave you the fetish?
Lots of good ones mentioned (TV's Superman, The Collector, Die Die My Darling, Sky King, etc.), but for me it was this movie obscurity. Saw it at a Saturday matinee - anyone else go to these? - when I was 5 or 6 years old.

Title: The Man Who Turned to Stone (1957)
Medium: Movie
Actress: Charlotte Austin, Barbara Wilson, Tina Carver

Description: Horror pic about group of creeps who run a women's reformatory, who figure out how to to prolong their own lives by draining the lives of innocent victims. Fortunately for us, they decide that the best subjects are young, pretty women. About 20 minutes in, they set up a shy, young inmate Barbara Wilson by putting her in solitary, while everyone else is watching a movie. This allows Eric to steal into the room while she's sleeping. She looks up at him and begins to scream, but is handgagged, and he carries her off. In the lab, her arms are bound behind her back with rope and she's gagged with a white cloth over her mouth. This is all shown. Then she's placed in a tub of water up to her neck. Although she doesn't struggle at this point, there are two good close-ups as the life gets drained out of her (all bloodless).

About halfway through, Tina Carver is kidnapped & carried off, and is handgagged as she struggles. In the lab, she's gagged with white cloth over the mouth and really puts up a fight to avoid her fate. Of course she loses and in the next scene she's in the tub but has mysteriously lost the gag.

Toward the end, Charlotte Austin is restrained and injected with a drug, then she's dragged unconscious up to the lab. In the next scene, she's in the tub with a white cloth gag over her mouth. There are several shots of her during the prolonged scene. She stays in a helpless semi-conscious state and doesn't struggle.

This is a correct summation, however, this is at least the second time someone has posted here that they saw no gags in the episode, this leads me to believe there was a scene for jenny wade that was cut. If you freeze frame the back track, a device the show uses to graphically lead back to past events, you see Francis's tape gag, twice, but only if you freeze frame, it's not meant to be seen clearly in real time. But this "past flash" edit device is always frames of "what happened" to give you a visual clue to the story (as they flash back), it's tricky. So, why would they use the frame flask back edit to show her gagged but not have her gagged in the actual scene that plays out in real time? They wouldn't, it would make no sense, they know, and the posters here who missed it know, that the flash is too fast to see anything, it's more like a visual "chain" connector so to speak. So that means, to me, they cut the scene and the flash chain proves it, because they left the gag scene in the flash but not in the real time, probably because they thought no one would spot the continuity error, and they were right, most no one saw it. I could go on, but you get the idea right? Of course, I realize there is no point in trying to figure out why they showed jenny's gag in the promo and neither gag in the real time show, but I could guess why...

The whole thing was stupid. I agree, showing her gagged and not gagged was absurd. Why would the thugs have taken her gag off? Now despite these being expensive shows, screwups in editing are possible. In this case, a major screwup. Like most industries, FOX probably has people overworked and it just was a very bad edit that got through.

Let's face it, the show is stupid to begin with, and that includes the scripts. So it figures the editing is also bad. There's a reason it's a summer series.

Tied and True Tales
Thinking of the great bondage story site Mason used to run, Tied and True Tales, I had a look to see if anything new had shown up. I see there is a site that is present. Not all the links work, but looks like it could be in process.
Not sure if this is still him, but I hope so.
If so welcome back Mason.
Missed this site from down under.

Re: What movie or TV show gave you the fetish?
Darlene Gillespie in Corky and White Shadow. I wasn't even three years old yet. Even then I could tell she was a captive tied to a tree and the thing over her mouth was to keep her from talking or crying out. I wasn't too sure about the cowboy and the snake, tho.

Years later as a young adult I got to see those Mickey Mouse Clubs again and was disappointed at what a ridiculous gag it was, though. If only it had been turned upside down.

Have they come back to this storyline yet? I used the search feature but see nothing new about this. I didn't realize soaps went a whole week or more without revisiting a plot line... especially when someone's fate is hanging in the balance. So much for continuity.

Nope. It'll probably start up again on Friday. Supposedly, Barbara (Colleen Zenk) is going to be moved around a couple times. Emily (Kelley Menighan Hensley) is supposed to find Babs in a wine cellar -- that would probably be the best hope for a b&g scene. After that, Emily is knocked out or something because Barbara is supposed to be moved again. Storyline probably won't wrap up for another three weeks or so.
