Record number: 617 Title: Black Swan, The (1942) Medium: Movie Actress: Maureen O'Hara, two unknown Description: Two young women in nightgowns are seized during a pirate raid on their town at the beginning of this film. They are carried bound across the pirates' shoulders. At the shore they are deposited on the beach where they are laid on their backs among the loot. They struggle and one refuses to drink wine. They are rescued. Later, Maureen O'Hara is abducted by a pirate suitor. She is forced into a carriage while gagged with her own shawl. From the position of her arms it seems they are bound and her legs probably are too. In the final sequence, after she is forced to masquerade as her abductor's wife, another pirate seizes her as a hostage. Since she is seized from bed, she is wearing a nightgown. She is tied in a cabin with her hands behind her, her bindings also being fastened to some piece of furniture. She struggles mightily. |

The scene occurs about 35' in (with ads), and runs for about four minutes. |

She's rescued almost immediately. In addition, there are scenes of a matronly woman (Koon) bound with thick rope to a chair and also tapegagged. She's seen from long range a few minutes before the Ricci scene, and immediately fore and aft of it. There may be more of her earlier, as her kidnapping's central to the plot. |

Helen is balancing on a garden rake with a noose around her neck, supported by Sapidah, who cannot move because of the double-barrelled shotgun that is pointed at her and connected to a tripwire tied around her neck. Both women are shrouded in white sheets and Sapidah is seen gagged with white tape. Sapidah is saved, but unfortunately Helen's character dies. @3:00pm ShowC Record number: 3792 Title: Water Rats Medium: TV Series Actress: Gigi Edgely, Maggie Kirkpatrick Description: Episode: "Red Light" (4.20) At the start of this Australian cop show episode, Gigi and Maggie are tape-gagged by villians dressed as soldiers. No shots of bound wrists or ankles (implied). Only their gagged faces are shown. @3:00pm CKVR Record number: 328 Title: Pacific Blue Medium: TV Series Actress: Darlene Vogel, Paula Trickey, Maddie Corman Description: Episode: "Cranked Up" (2.10) The cops are captured by drug dealers up in the hills, and kept tightly tied up, wearing their tight cycle cop outfits. Later, Maddie Corman is tied up and cloth gagged. |
