Record number: 779 Title: Complex of Fear (1993) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Randi Lane, Farrah Forke, unknown Description: The story is about a serial rapist terrorizing an upscale apartment complex. His first victim (Lane) is leaving for work when he bursts through her door and throws her onto her bed. He ties her in a lower-half spreadeagle with pantyhose and cleave-gags her. Just as he's about to unbutton her blouse, she gets a phone call from a male neighbor who heard her screams. When she doesn't pick up the receiver after her answering-machine greeting, he says he's calling the police, which scares the rapist off. Later, Forke's character is asleep in her underwear, face-down on her bed. She awakens to find the rapist standing over her. He shoves her back down and pulls her arms behind her, then ties her hands with a cloth strip. Still later, another actress is accosted by the rapist after letting him in on a ruse. He hand-gags her and throws her down, then gags her with a white sock and ties her hands in front. Next, he holds a thin black strip of cloth over her as if he's going to secure the sock gag with it, but blindfolds her with it instead as the scene ends. |

Record number: 6404 Title: Jane Doe (2001) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Teri Hatcher Description: She's the title character, caught up in a mishmash involving her kidnapped son and estranged husband, both of whom turn out to be government intelligence agents. Anyway, about an hour and 25 minutes in, she ends up lying face-down beneath a particularly nasty baddie with an Australian accent, gagged and bound hand and foot, wrists behind her back, with duct tape. He pulls the gag off and, just as he begins torturing her for some needed information, a henchwoman he hired but didn't pay shows up and takes umbrage-expressed with an even more pronounced Aussie accent-at what it looks like he's doing. The only clear shots of Hatcher's bonds occur as the henchwoman cuts them off. |

Her husband gets a doctor, who turns out to be the murderer. Doc puts 2 and 2 together and has her committed to his private sanitarium. Lots of great straitjacket shots. @8:30am Space/Imagination Record number: 4313 Title: Green Hornet, The Medium: TV Series Actress: Susan Flannery Description: Episode: "Trouble For Prince Charming" (1.22) After being chloroformed, Susan is tied to a chair (hands behind) and is gagged with a wide white over the mouth gag. After the initial abduction she isn't seen again until "Green Hornet" busts in to the wine cellar where she's being held and fights with one of the bad guys. Susan is better known as "Stephanie Forrester" on "The Bold & the Beautiful". @9:00pm CJMT Possible? Wesley's Mysterious File (2002) Sounds like a Hong Kong X-Files, may be something of interest? |

Record number: 6940 Title: Post Mortem: Der Nutten Mörder (1997) Medium: Movie Actress: Annette Frier, Edda Leesch, unknown Description: This story about the search for a serial killer who likes to dress call girls in kink gear, tie them up spreadeagled and then kill them is full of bondage imagery, though some of them involve dead women as you might expect in a movie about forensic investigators. The first victim, Frier, is chloroformed in a lengthy scene with lots of struggling. She's next seen tied spreadeagled to a bed in a leather boustier, wearing knee-high leather boots, but her face is obscured by a plastic bag which has been used to strangle her. Throughout the rest of the movie, the investigators spend a lot of time looking at and showing each other pictures of Frier and other victims similarly restrained. A hysterical prostitute calls out that the killer is attacking one of the women in the bordello, and the house goons break in and find the gal cuffed arms overhead (and perhaps her legs are tied as well). Her face is obscured in part by a lot fo what appears to be whipped cream, and the goon attack the john, despite the chained prostitute's protests that he's a regular customer. She's dressed in a boustier and stockings. Finally, an attractive female police investigator (Leesch) is captured by the killer and tied spreadeagled to a bed. He also cuts off her blouse to reveal a nice purple bra. This is a lengthy scene, well lit and with closeups as Leesch talks with her killer and tries to psych him out. Finally the killer wraps a plastic bag over her head to kill her. As she struggles to breathe a rescuer crashes through a window into the room. He fights with the villain and manages to break free just long enough to tear a hole in the plastic over her mouth so she can breathe. Finally he subdues the villain and frees the damsel. All the scenes in this German production are well-lit and lengthy, very generous compared to the underlit, fleeting scenes that are typical of current U.S. productions. I found this movie on The Mystery Channel in the U.S. |

Record number: 8504 Title: Space Mutiny (1988) Medium: Movie Actress: Cisse Cameron Description: This cheesy Battlestar Galactica=like movie features Cameron, who's clearly well into middle age, playing the daughter of a spaceship captain who is clearly about her age. But she has a nice bod and wears an costume so short her butt is always visible. The bad guys capture her, cuff her and strap her down to a space hospital bed, where they torture her teeth with lasers (seriously!). She escapes a few moments later by seducing a guard (while still cuffed). I saw this on Mystery Science Theater 3000. |

Medium: TV Series Actress: Karen Cliche Description: About 25 minutes into the "Wave of the Future" episode, the female rgular (played by Karen Cliche) is kidnapped from a mental institution along with the guy who's hiding out there by the bad guys. She's given a knockout shot and when next she's sccen, she's being hustled along in a straightjacket along with him. Then they're chianed to a railing via chains attached to their straightjackets. Then her straightjacket chain is hung on a hook and she's dangled over a water tank in an attempt to get info out of the guy. Finally, the bad guy decides he doesn't need the info and she's plunged into the water tank to her doom, but she's rescued. Scene ends at the 5:45 mark. No gags. |
