Record number: 79 Title: I Love Lucy Medium: TV Series Actress: Lucille Ball Description: Episode: "Lucy Cries Wolf" (4.3) Lucy thinks Ricky isn't concerned about her well-being, with burglars raiding the neighborhood. She fakes her own kidnapping, but is found out by her husband. Angry, she stalks out of the bridge game the Ricardos and Mertzes were playing. Sitting in the hallway, the real burglars stumble upon her, hand gag her, and after a struggle, drag her into the basement. After the commercial break, the card players hear a pounding at the door. It's Lucy, sporting a white cloth cleave gag with her ankles bound and her arms tied to her side. She banging on the door with her head. When Ricky stands up to remove the gag, Fred says, "Careful Ricky, do you know what you're doing?" Ricky removes the cloth, and Lucy 'splains how she was tied up by the real burglars. Nobody believes her and she spends the remaining 15 seconds of the episode still bound, hopping from one of the card players to another trying to convince them of her sincerity. |

Her hands are tied behind her back, and there's several loops of rope around her arms and upper body, below her breasts and around her waist, knees and ankles, with one strand running from the torso ropes to her knee restraints. Later, Alan Ladd finds her in the back of a closet, and carries her to a bed, where he ungags her. My notes have a start time of around the 42' mark. I believe that's without ads. I'm not sure if there's any grabbing scene preceding the above. |

The Psi Factor team rigs an anti-electric chair to drain her battery, so to speak. Kate's wrists are bound to chair arms, her ankles are tied together, and some sort of oversized hairdryer is attached to her head. After much sizzling by the machinery and anguish on the part of the patient, the treatment succedes. |

The second scene is when Max Grabelski (Daniel Stern) tries to rescue her. When he takes off the gag, she screams and he puts back the tape gag. Unfortunately the hero is unable to untie her. Later the bad guy captures them, deciding to untie her and try to kill them both. |
