| According to my cable's on-screen programming guide "Different World" will broadcast an episode featuring Gladys Knight this evening (Tuesday into Wednesday, midnight/12:00AM). If memory serves correctly, this is the episode where the two main female leads compete with other females for a chance to perform with Ms. Knight.
Choice dialogue occurs during the middle of the episode when Whitley explains to Jaleesa that they could wind up "bound and gagged in the bathroom" (In reference to the cutthroat tactics a girl would use to win in a contest like this). The scene happens in the very last minute, with Whitley & Jaleesa "winning"; they sing a song with Ms. Knight and the trio dance off-stage together .... just as their bound and gagged nemesis comes hopping out onto the stage. The Did is African American, I am sure she is gagged with a white cloth OTM, thought I am not so sure how she is bound. I am fairly sure she does hop out and the look on her face is one of sheer anguish and frustration. I am planning on staying up to see if my memory is correct; for anyone else who remembers this scene perhaps you'll want to kep a blank cassette in the VCR just in case! |

| From previews, Mia (Amelia Heinle) will be hand-gagged by a masked gunman on today's show. The intruder broke into a house to kill a child witness to his previous murder and has already knocked out and tied up a putz bodyguard who was the only one at home. Mia showed up with gifts as a surprise for the child at the end of Tuesday's show. I'd like to think that since the gunman tied up the putz rather than kill him, he will also tie and gag Mia. |
