Record number: 2955 Title: Adventures of Superman (1952) Medium: TV Series Actress: Noel Neill Description: Episode: "Clark Kent, Outlaw" (3.8) Clark concocts a scheme to infiltrate a gang of jewel thieves by allowing himself to be fired and publicly humilated from The Planet. The thieves are happy to recruit him, once they discover his knack for cracking safes. Lois and Jimmy follow him on a caper to try and turn him away from a life of crime and get captured. Clark convinces the crooks to drag them back to The Planet building, where the two reporters can be killed in a fiery accident, and the building torched at the same time. Lois and Jimmy are loosely bound back to back to chairs with twine (which encircles their bodies, but their hands aren't tied, leaving Lois able to maintain a tenacious grip on the strap of her purse with her white-gloved fingers) and loosely detective gagged with handkerchiefs while Clark sets the fire in a chair in Perry White's office. The camera shoots the pair from in front of Lois, which effectively diminishes Jimmy's presence, and enhances Lois' brief struggles as her captors escape. Good news for the good guys: it turns out that the chair is fireproof and Clark secretly triggered the fire alarm as he and the crook fled the building. This was the first of the show's episodes shot in color to contain a scene. |

He has a long suffering girlfriend in Gina Gershon, a sculptor in metal, who seems willing to help out no matter how strange the situation. He gets mixed up in false kidnapping masterminded by Elizabeth Shue and a dirty cop. Of course the good stuff is in the last half hour of the movie, where Gershon is bound and gagged in chair with duct tape, listening while all the final exposition is spun out. Near the very end, Elizabeth Shue, wearing a short brunette wig, is handcuffed and put into the police cruiser. |

The tight shot pans down her body. She's wearing a sweater, skirt and high heels and mmmphs and struggles a lot. Near the end of the film, the captured serial killer (Vic Perrin) shows Friday (Webb) and Gannon (Morgan) bound and gagged pictures he took of all 4 of his victims including the identified Thordis Brant (victim 3). There is also a quick shot of the contents of the killer's foot locker when the detectives open it up revealing dozens of bondage photos. Note: the opening sequence is often heavily edited in some versions. |

A police robot involved in a police training scenario detects a damsel and her captor. The damsel is tapegagged and tied arms behind, I think her ankles are tied, too. Not a great, clear image, but it is the full treatment and it is in an unusual venue. |

Record number: 803 Title: Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie (1997) Medium: Movie Actress: Amy Jo Johnson Description: Kimberly (the original "Pink Ranger" of the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" TV series) is captured by the native inhabitants of a magical island near the conclusion of the film. Her wrists and ankles are tied down to a wooden litter and she is carried into a nearby cave. Later, she is seen dangling from her chained wrists above a volcanic pit; she is tied back-to-back with Rocky (another former Ranger). Their legs are left free and there are no gags; Kimberly is able to trade retorts with the villainess Divatox, who is planning to sacrifice her to the local monster-god. Not much in the way of struggling, but plenty of concerned looks at the lava below. The current team of Rangers rush in to save their friends, but it's too late: they are lowered into the pool! Suddenly, the two reappear on the lip of the crater. Kim whips her head around to face the camera, her eyes glowing red with demonic possession. She smirks, and snaps the chains binding her wrists. During the next several minutes, she whips the tar out of her former teammates, all the while speaking in an "Exorcist"-like voice and spouting such lines as "Evil is as Evil does." The other Rangers eventually snap her out of the spell, and combine their Turbo Zord vehicles into a giant robot to combat the volcanic monster, thus making the world safe for kids in spandex. |

| The scene with the "very pretty girl" gets 4 Stars in my book cuz she's The Bomb. She makes her appearance about 50 minutes into the movie, and Missy Crider's exceptionally good but brief scene is about 15-20 minutes after that. The last vignette mentioned in the DB entry is the penultimate scene in the movie, and by my recollection it's One Big Guy Alert in which Missy C. saves the hero. |

Record number: 8187 Title: Instinct To Kill (2001) aka Perfect Husband, The Medium: Movie Actress: Missy Crider, 3 unknowns Description: Very violent action movie starring Mark Dacascos. There's the inevitable serial killer who loves to choke his victims to death by putting a transparent plastic sack over their head. Since I've only seen the second half of the movie I can only describe the last four scenes, though maybe there's more. First of all there's a very pretty girl who's tied naked to a chair (cover only with a sheet and a lot of tape)and killed. Then it's the turn of the wife of a policeman (played by Kadeem Hardison) who's tied to a tree, hands in front, rope around neck, tape gagged and with the usual plastic sack over head. Her husband manage to take off the sack, but they are both killed. A few moments later it's time for the female leading actress Missy Crider, who plays the carachter of Tess. She's handgagged, then tied lying on the floor hands behind and gagged with tape. Unfortunately the killer take off the gag before putting the usual sack over her head. I missed the scene where she's freed (or she frees herself?). Near the end the same actress has a flashback in which she is in front of the killer who keep a woman bound hands behind and gagged as a hostage. Tess fires, but she kills the woman, instead of the killer. |
