Later on in the scene, Parker Posey is arrested and has her hands cuffed behind her back. Guy alert. |

| If I'm recalling correctly (there were three "Whistling" movies, and I'm pretty sure this was the one), there is a scene near the end where Ann Rutherford is sort of tied up with chains. Not great bondage, but it's the only thing the cute Miss Rutherford ever gave us. |

IMHO, this ORIGINAL scene is a must-have keeper. Halle Berry may have "recreated" it, but the REAL Dorothy Dandridge did it like no other ever could. See it and tell me I'm wrong...I dare ya... |

Record number: 1877 Title: Tarzan's Peril (1951) Medium: Movie Actress: Dorothy Dandridge Description: This was possibly the first scene in a mainstream American movie featuring a black actress, and was the original scene Halle Berry recreated in the made-for-cable movie Introducing Dorothy Dandridge in 1999. Playing a kidnapped tribal queen, dressed in the average old-days-skimpy-jungle-costume, Dandridge is pushed down onto her back on a fur on the floor of a hut, where she is tied hand and foot between two stakes driven into the ground and tightly gagged with a piece of cloth (possibly fur) between her teeth, held in with a strap. It all happens on-screen - they knew how to treat their lead actresses back in the old days! Ol' Tarzan Lex Barker saves her. Dandridge's impressive struggles are shot in black-and-white. |
