Record number: 35 Title: Batman (1966) Medium: TV Series Actress: Yvonne Craig Description: Episode: "Enter Batgirl, Exit Penguin" (3.1) In the first minutes, Barbara Gordon is abducted from her apartment house elevator (lifted through the hatch), and shortly after seen tightly bound to a chair (hands behind, ropes criss-crossing her torso) and detective gagged with a purple scarf. The Penguin wants to marry her and will kill her father, Commissioner Gordon, unless she accedes to his nupitial demands. The gag's removed and she's unbound several minutes later (this latter scene was cut from the SCIFI airing). Little does the Penguin know that Barbara Gordon is the secret identity for Batgirl . . . . |

Rope circling her body, arms at her sides. Then roughly the last 10 minutes, she is strapped to the board, which is laid horizontal on a table saw. Patrick scraps while Diana advances towards the circling blade. No gags in this episode. This from the air time-sched, to help you decide if I'm right in recalling?: "Emma Peel reçoit un appel, où une voix inconnue lui demande de se rendre à un endroit précis pour une question de vie ou de mort." @12:30am TFC Record number: 751 Title: Are You Afraid of the Dark? Medium: TV Series Actress: Polly Shannon Description: Episode: "Tale of the Pinball Wizard" (1.13) Ms. Shannon is discovered around the 15' mark (this ep aired without commercials) chained into a chair in a beautiful silver medieval gown, gagged with a widely-folded red scarf. To me, this brief scene is stunning. She is lovely, and her gown and her gag accentutate her beauty. Ahem. Anyway, just before there's some unbound shoulder-carrying, and after some grabbing and holding by various nefariati (bad guys). @7:00am ShowC Record number: 2500 Title: Sweating Bullets/Tropical Heat Medium: TV Series Actress: Kelly Rowan Description: Episode: "Ocean Park" (3.9) Kelly is bound hands behind, no gag. @1:30pm CBLFT Record number: 1110 Title: Dick Tracy (1990) Medium: Movie Actress: Glenne Headly Description: Tess Truehart (Headly) is kidnapped by mistake midway through the film and winds up tied to a chair in a dark room, blindfolded and wrap-gagged. The film's climax has her tied lying on her back, ungagged, with her hands in front to a large horizontal gear under a drawbridge, positioned in such a way that her head will be crushed by the vertical gear it meshes with if Tracy doesn't rescue her in time. Tess also endures a quick handgag from No-Face ("The Blank"), played by Madonna. |

| An underrated scene, IMO. Great capture of a wishlist damsel, and a long "pursuit" scene. |

Her lover pulls her panty hose off and uses it to bind her hands behind her back. She is then placed in a small elevator, where she escapes through a hatch and runs around a big mansion with her hands still tied. She eventually comes across some wire hangers in a closet, which she twists into a tool that pulls her bonds free. Although her feet are never tied, this is also a great scene for barefoot lovers. Happens in the last half. |

Later in the film Bond rescues Basinger's character who is tied to a post in an Arab village. |

This is a repeat of last night's [Tues.] episode, but I noticed too late to post an alert at that time. IMHO, Joan Freeman's hand-gagging occurs about 32 minutes in, and you DO want to see it! |

Record number: 8063 Title: Gunsmoke Medium: TV Series Actress: Joan Freeman Description: Episode: "Phoebe Strunk" (8.9) A gang of gang of backwoods cutthroats, led by their vicious mother Phoebe (Virginia Gregg), murder a man and woman (played by Phyllis Coates) and kidnap Annie (Freeman) their young ward. Marshall Dillon (James Arness) and Quint (Burt Reynolds) are hot on their trail, so Hulett (Gregg Palmer) and Simsie (Dick Peabody) handgag her to prevent her from giving away their location. Annie gives Phoebe some sass, she winds up bound hand and foot in a loose frontal hogtie, and the rope is tied off to Phoebe's elbow. One of the troglodytes prods Annie with a pointed stick, encouraging her to sing a song to while away the evening. Fortunately the marshal rescues her immediately thereafter. The handgag scene takes place about the 35 minute mark and 38 minute mark, and the second scene takes place about five minutes from the end of the episode and goes on for about four minutes. |
