Not to worry, kids, ol' Jim is a crack shot. Fairly lengthy scene. |

Record number: 1173 Title: King Kong (1976) Medium: Movie Actress: Jessica Lange Description: Rather disappointing remake, with Lange much more loosely tied to the posts with vines than Fay Wray was-in fact, it seems she'd have had little trouble slipping out of them in reality. They are wrapped around her arms near the elbows, and aren't winched up as in the original. Owing to the improved technology available for this version, however, there are many more and longer shots of Lange in the ape's hand, where she screams and struggles (and delivers some of the most sarcastic dialogue imaginable). The abduction scene is about 50 minutes into the film. About an hour later, after Kong has been brought to America, the scene is re-enacted for a large crowd, with Lange tied just as loosely with silver garlands. |

Elly tries to convince the mother what the bad guy is really up to, but the man talks his way out of it and Chandler gets gagged again. Many extended scenes, beginning around the 20' mark and ending about 23' later. |

One of his thugs binds her hands behind a pole with a metal twist tie while he sets the bomb. Will our heroine be blown to smithorines? Heck no! Is it because he put way to much time on the detonator? Or is it that she just squats down and picks up screwdriver that came out of nowhere and undoes the metal binding faster than it was put on! You can deciede for yourself. No gag by the way. |
