Record number: 4078 Title: BlackMale (2000) Medium: Movie Actress: Robin Paris Description: Basically this 'thriller' is a silly mess, HOWEVER, about two-thirds of the way thru, Roger Rees (from "Cheers", remember?), as a crack-smoking British serial killer in California, takes over the house of a middle-aged couple, kills their son and daughter-in-law, and ties the unlucky husband and wife to two antique chairs, using cloth bindings at wrists, elbows, knees, and ankles. For gagsters, he uses a rather unique technique: thick and long plastic bags (rather like heavy-duty dry cleaning bags) wrapped severely between the jaws and around the heads. Then he begins to take target practice at the pair, using a golf club and balls. This insures plenty of muffled alarm cries. As I said, it's really a fairly awful movie -- seems to have been improvised during shooting by folks with no talent for improvisation --, but it contains those few seconds of interest within its interminable ninety minutes for those who want to look for them. |

Later she's taken prisoner by Lancaster, her wrists are bound behind her back with rawhide and her ankles are tied together and bound to a tree, no gag, where she can't quite reach water. |

Later Francoise Yip is tied with arms behind and cleave-gagged while chained to the floor. Both scenes are meant to be funny, but quite sexy too. |

She gets out of her predicament by playing along with the villain's idea that she is his lover Arachnia, Queen of the Spider People. Elements of Kate's scene: 1. 1940's serial movie atmosphere - she is snatched by a big clunky robot of the 40's serial movie variety. 2. Strapped to a gurney. 3. Unfortunately most of the camerawork during this scene stays above the point of restraint. |

He cleavegags her with another strip. The scene lasts about a minute, and comes in around the 45' mark. ________________ @5:00pm Space/Imagination Record number: 3294 Title: Star Trek: Voyager (1995) Medium: TV Series Actress: Roxann Dawson Description: Episode: "Future's End" Part 2 (3.9) B'Elenna is bound hand and foot with tape around the 20' mark and rescued by the Doctor at about 40' in. _________________ @6:00pm Space/Imagination Record number: 4362 Title: Lost World, The Medium: TV Series Actress: Jennifer O'Dell Description: Episode: "Trophies" (2.11) Captured by a fortune hunter, Veronica (O'Dell) spends most of the last half hour wth her hands tied behind her back and with a giant metal scissor-like collar locked around her neck. No gag. The collar is at the end of a long metal pole which her captors use to lead her around by walking behind her and pushing her forward. A couple of closeups of her bound hands. ___________________ @7:00pm CHCH Record number: 1915 Title: Stargate SG-1 Medium: TV Series Actress: Amanda Tapping Description: Episode: "Emancipation" (1.4) Kidnapped by a tribesman with some very peculiar opinions about females (every woman has to be veiled), Tapping, dressed in an oriental costume, is taken along on a horse, her hands tied in front with thick rope and cleave-gagged under her veil. We actually see her gag taken off twice, and at the first time she spits out a wad of cloth that's been used as packing. Nice touch; what makes it a failure in the end is the incredible brevity of the two scenes. Now available on DVD. ______________________ @8:00pm CHCH (Possible?) Record number: 3230 Title: Zorro (1957) Medium: TV Series Actress: Myrna Fahey Description: Episode: "Shadow of Doubt" (1.14) Maria Crespo, a woman working at the tavern knows too much about the murder of the new Commandante At around the ten minute mark or so, she is handgagged by the villain (at this point his true intentions aren't known to her). Later, she is grabbed, overgagged on screen with a wide blue cloth, and hustled into a coach by Robin Hughes and Jack Elam. Zorro gives chase, and rescues her after her captor leaps off the coach and leaves her to her apparent doom hurtling along a cliffside road. There are a good number of shots of her inside the coach, with the stagecoach bouncing so much that her skirt covers her face and another as her gagged face stares apprehensively from the window at the cliff yawning beyond the side of the road. Action occurs around halfway in and continues almost to the end of the episode. A very nice scene overall. There are both color and black-and-white versions. This scene is also described in the entry for Zorro The Avenger, a compilation film from the series. There's also a brief handgagging of Ms. Fahey in a separate scene before the climactic sequence. Look for it sometime after the 5' mark. |
