Neverthless she speaks normally. A little later she shoots the evil guy with her hands still tied. 13 years later (1 hour 20 in the movie) her character, now Famke Janssen, has her hands tied in front with maybe the same rope, in the back seat of a car and later standing near it, and frees herself with her teeth (dark shene). |

Record number: 1036 Title: Cheyenne Takes Over (1947) Medium: Movie Actress: Nancy Gates Description: Fay Wilkins (Gates) has witnessed a murder; the bad guys don't want to kill her, but threaten her never to reveal their secret or else. She tells Cheyenne (Lash LaRue) though, so the gang decides to get rid of both of 'em. First they lure her to their hideout, where chief bad guy John Merton says those immortal words, "Make her comfortable" (translation, tie her to a chair and cleave-gag her with a thick bandanna -- possibly one rolled inside the other). The bad guys then use her for bait. Not to worry -- Cheyenne wasn't born yesterday! Short scene, but has several close-ups of Fay as she reacts to Cheyenne apparently walking into the trap. Plus, after she's rescued by the Sheriff and Cheyenne's sidekick, there are two shots of Fay standing next to them with the gag hanging from her neck. Nancy Gates is a drop-dead gorgeous brunette; she's tied up wearing gloves that can best be described as gauntlets, a riding skirt, boots, a vest and a cute white cowgirl hat. (Her bound hands are only suggested, however.) |

Catwoman (Lee Meriwether) plays the bait as her alter ego to lure Bruce Wayne (Adam West/Batman) into a trap. The plan includes tying her ankles and her wrists behind her back. She's lying on a bed, and Bruce Wayne keeps her company. Some struggling. Later, Batman uses his batcuffs on her. She's never gagged. The first scene's around the 50' mark (without commercials); the cuffing comes in about 95' in. (The ankles may or may not be tied. When she's lifted onto the bed, her ankles stay together, though I couldn't see whether they were bound [she's wearing a long skirt]; but a later closer shot shows no ropes.) ___________ @3:00pm CFTO Record number: 232 Title: Live And Let Die (1972) Medium: Movie Actress: Jane Seymour Description: "Solitaire" (Seymour) is tied standing between two posts and is menaced by a witch doctor with a python. Later she's tied back to back with 007 (Roger Moore) and lowered into a shark infested pool. Her hands are tied together around Moore's waist. No gag in either scene. ____________ @3:30pm CFTM (TVA) La Guerre Des Etoiles US Title: Record number: 2503 Title: Star Wars (1977) Medium: Movie Actress: Carrie Fisher Description: Early in the movie, Princess Leia's wrists are cuffed in front of her when she's brought before Darth Vader. Very short scene, only entered for fans of space age cuffs (and complete databases.) _____________ @9:00pm TFO Record number: 3799 Title: Nada (1974) Medium: Movie Actress: Viviane Romance, Evelyne Scott Description: At the beginning of the movie, terrorists kidnap the American ambassador from a brothel. They tie up the madam (played by Romance) on the floor and over the mouth gag and bind a blonde and topless hooker (Scott) on a huge brass bed. |
