Record number: 68 Title: Gilligan's Island Medium: TV Series Actress: Dawn Wells, Tina Louise, Natalie Schafer Description: Episode: "How to Be a Hero" (1.24) Gilligan is depressed over his failure to rescue Mary Ann from drowning-- the Skipper saves them both. Later, Gilligan sees a headhunter on the island, but no one believes him. However, the other castaways decide to disguise the Skipper as a headhunter and allow him to "capture" them so that Gilligan can become a hero. Unfortunately, Gilligan overhears the plan. Meanwhile, the real headhunter captures Mary Ann, Ginger and the Professor. The Howells find the threesome tied hand and foot to stakes. Frond (!) gags cover their mouths, and despite mmpphing for all they're worth, they are unable to warn the millionaire and his wife that the headhunter is behind them. It's a brief scene, but it features a long shot of the three of them-- Mary Ann is wearing her trademark short shorts, and Ginger is wearing a form-fitting dress fashioned from some item from the Minnow ("S.S. MINNOW" is prominently displayed on the skirt) in the background. In a later scene, two more stakes have been added, and Gilligan discovers the five captives tied up. The Howells have not been gagged, but they are unable to convice Gilligan that this situation is anything other than a trick. The real headhunter returns, and Gilligan "plays along" in a mock fight scene. During the shenanigans, there is a close-up of Mary Ann, and several shots in which she is prominently featured, writhing at the stake. (Ginger remains only in long shots.) Finally, the Skipper (disguised as a headhunter) shows up, and Gilligan realizes the truth in time to send his foe into a handy campfire. After everyone has been untied, Mary Ann can be seen holding a loop of the rope. This is from the first season of black-and-white episodes, subsequently colorized, and begins around the fifteen-minute mark. |

Stephen handcuffs her wrist to the headboard of a bed to keep her from following him. Action begins roughly half way in. _______ @6:00pm Space/Imagination Record number: 4431 Title: Lost World, The Medium: TV Series Actress: Jennifer O'Dell, Rachel Blakely Description: Episode: "Voodoo Queen" (2.12) In the last 20 minutes of the episode, O'Dell and Blakely are tied between two posts in preparation for a voodoo sacrifice. The babes are standing, with one of Jennifer's wrists tied to one post and her other wrist tied to one of Rachel's wrists. Rachel's other wrist is tied to another post so that the two are stretched between the posts. | "Molly" has been kidnapped by "Mary", a redheaded villainess. On Tuesday and Wednesday, she was shown bound and gagged in the back seat of a car. She was still in that predicament at the end of Wednesday's episode. There should be more footage of her bound and gagged on Thursday. |

When I saw this on TNT there was no gag involved, but here's the description from Allen Marburger's compilation: Dorothy Malone is bound and gagged on horseback in this Randolph Scott western. She is wearing boots, jeans, western shirt and hat. Her hands are tied to the saddlehorn and a handkerchief is tied between her teeth. ... This sequence may be missing from prints shown on the airwaves. And indeed it was on TNT. Still, an attractive image, coming in around 65' in ... but that was during a two-hour airing, and tonight's showing has a listed running time of 81'. And if the gag does show, I of course have no information on when it would appear, although I'd assume it'd be in the same general time frame. . |
