Record number: 2223 Title: The River Wild (1994) Medium: Movie Actress: Meryl Streep Description: At about an hour, after her family has been taken captive by Kevin Bacon and his buddies on a float trip, her character's husband sneaks over to where she lies bound, but ungagged, in a sleeping bag. There are a couple of shots of him cutting the ropes away from her ankles and later, her tied-in-front wrists. About 20 minutes later, she's shown sitting in a raft with her hands again tied in front (her husband had to run off and leave her behind the night before), as they approach rapids. Her wrists are untied so she can guide them through, but Bacon lashes one of her ankles to the boat with a long black strap. During the movie's climax about 20 minutes later, there's a good shot of Streep stretching over the edge of the boat to reach a dropped gun in the water, straining at the strap still tied to her ankle above her sandal-shod foot. |

Unfortunately the gag part is only about 7 seconds long. She's wearing a red long sleeved checked shirt and blue jeans. |

Record number: 2691 Title: Perry Mason: The Case Of The Telltale Talk Show Host (1993) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Alex Datcher Description: The attractive black actress best known as Wesley Snipes' stewardess love interest in Passenger 57 plays a cop who gets nabbed by the bad guy while undercover posing as a hooker. She's bound wrists-behind-back and gagged on-screen with silver duct tape and left in a basement. Later on her hooker friend comes downstairs, wakes her up and quickly takes the gag off (boooooo). Neither scene is very long at all, and the lighting isn't great (the bad guy shuts off the light when he goes upstairs), but she is a very good looking actress, and she is gagged on-screen and lets out a nice 'mmmmmmpph' as her mouth is taped. Also both scenes with her have decent but quick closeups. A great example of quality over quantity in terms of a DID scene. Incidentally, this TV movie was Raymond Burr's last performance as Perry Mason. Action begins around the 65' mark and ends about 90' in. |

At about 18 minutes into the film, she's shown being led through an underground steam tunnel by the masked killer, gagged with duct tape and her wrists in a pair of early-1900s style handcuffs. In a sequence that begins about ten minutes later and continues for about ten minutes more, she's shown several times with her hands cuffed over her head and her ankles roped together, sitting in front of a large steam pipe |
