Record number: 978 Title: The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939) Medium: Movie Actress: Maureen O'Hara Description: This is probably the version of the story in which Esmeralda spends the most time in bondage. O'Hara portrays her sitting with her hands tied behind her back throughout the trial, both before and after the torture scene, which is depicted in a wide shot from above in a rather non-explicit manner. At the end of the trial, the king visits the courtroom, and orders her untied so he can perform a trial by ordeal on her. He blindfolds her and asks her to choose between her alleged murder weapon and his dagger on a table before her. She touches her own knife, failing the test, and later is carted to the scaffold and mounts it with her hands tied behind her back, but they are untied when Quasimodo (Charles Laughton) swings down from above in the famous rescue scene. |

Record number: 1614 Title: Simon Sez (1999) Medium: Movie Actress: Natalia Cigliuti, Emma Sj÷berg Description: In quite possibly one of the worst movies made in the 90's, Dennis Rodman (and he's not the worst of it) plays an Interpol agent who gets involved with a "friend" who's trying to return a kidnapee. Ms. Cigliuti is first "rescued" from the supposed kidnapper by Rodman and his irritating sidekick (said "friend"), and is shown in the back of their car unbound but gagged with a potato (baking, not Irish). The potato is held in her mouth by a black cloth. This scene comes in at around 35' in. At approximately the 50' mark, she is grabbed and hustled into a car by the true baddies. About 60' in she's shown gagged and restrained in a more traditional fashion -- tied to a chair and cleavegagged with an attractive yellow patterned scarf. She's next seen being rescued around the 75' mark. Also, in the early part of the movie, Dennis Rodman, while fighting Sj÷berg's character in a restaurant, ties her up (literally wraps her up) with a white tablecloth. Her hands appear to be tied behind her back and part of the tablecloth acts as an over-the-mouth gag. There is some mmmphing. |

| @Midnight Space/Imagination Record number: 2354 Title: Batman (1966) Medium: Movie Actress: Lee Meriwether Description: Quickly made feature to cash in on the TV series. Catwoman (Lee Meriwether) plays the bait as her alter ego to lure Bruce Wayne (Adam West/Batman) into a trap. The plan includes tying her ankles and her wrists behind her back. She's lying on a bed, and Bruce Wayne keeps her company. Some struggling. Later, Batman uses his batcuffs on her. She's never gagged. The first scene's around the 50' mark (without commercials); the cuffing comes in about 95' in. (The ankles may or may not be tied. When she's lifted onto the bed, her ankles stay together, though I couldn't see whether they were bound [she's wearing a long skirt]; but a later closer shot shows no ropes.) ______________________ @Noon Space/Imagination Record number: 1415 Title: Xena: Warrior Princess Medium: TV Series Actress: Rene O'Conner, Lucy Lawless Description: Episode: "Destiny" (2.12) Gabrielle has her hands bound overhead. In a flashback sequence, Xena recalls being captured by Julius Caesar, who has her lashed with ropes to a cross which is then erected on a beach. Then in a dream sequence, Xena imagines herself still bound to the cross as it flies through the air, landing upright. ___________________ @1:00pm BravoC Record number: 16 Title: Avengers, The (1961) Medium: TV Series Actress: Linda Thorson Description: Episode: "Split" (6.5) The evil Dr. Constantine has Tara chloroformed and then brought to his hospital in order to transfer the mind of a sinister criminal into hers! Tara is seen unconscious strapped to a moving table with what looks like gauze bandages. When she comes to and starts to open her mouth a plastic, or rubber ball, is dropped into her mouth and the gauze around her chest is pulled up to cover her mouth. While the gag looks lame -- it's tied to the table, not at the back of her neck -- when Steed lowers it, we see that her mouth has a wad of cotton in it, which Steed quickly plucks out. Also A LOT of moaning and struggling in this rather long scene, close-ups too. _______________________ @6:00pm Space/Imagination Record number: 3131 Title: Lost World, The Medium: TV Series Actress: Jennifer O'Dell, Rachel Blakely, two unknown Description: Episode: "Amazons" (2.2) In the last half one of our male lost world friends has tied an Amazonian to a headboard and Rachel Blakely comes in and finishes the job, gagging her with a cloth stuffed in the mouth, then teases I didn't know you were into this kind of stuff. Next the other male Lost Worlder is in bed with two blond twins when Jennifer O'Dell walks in a gags one of them and gives him rope to tie up the other (IIRC, she isn't actually seen tied up. He is going through the motions and she is just below the screen). Finally, all the Lost Worlders are tied to stakes about to be burned. _____________________ @11:00pm Space/Imagination Record number: 152 Title: X-Files, The Medium: TV Series Actress: Gillian Anderson Description: Episode: "Ascension" (2.6) Scully's bound and cleavegagged in the trunk of her abductor's car. After a police officer pulls him over she kicks and moans to get his attention, but her captor kills the officer and continues his journey. All action takes place in the first 30 minutes, there may possibly be shots of a picture of Scully taken from the patrol car's vidcam after this. I stopped watching this time after she'd been "taken" by the ETs (not shown). |

The scene is very short, and the visibility of the gag is marred by her struggles and the hair in her face. (With a little more professionalism it could have been a really great scene, though). Right at the beginning of the movie, in a steamy scene, she's also chained in a dungeon with her arms overhead. |

| Gina Gershon provides some Outstanding Duct-taped prostesting mmphing in the movie's final showdown scene. I actually like her in this movie over the famed "Bound". |

Record number: 695 Title: Palmetto (1998) Medium: Movie Actress: Gina Gershon, Elizabeth Shue Description: Woody Harrelson is the protagonist here as a small time hood/writer who has an ambiguous relationship with the local police. He has a long suffering girlfriend in Gina Gershon, a sculptor in metal, who seems willing to help out no matter how strange the situation. He gets mixed up in false kidnapping masterminded by Elizabeth Shue and a dirty cop. Of course the good stuff is in the last half hour of the movie, where Gershon is bound and gagged in chair with duct tape, listening while all the final exposition is spun out. Near the very end, Elizabeth Shue, wearing a short brunette wig, is handcuffed and put into the police cruiser. |
