What you say is true, certainly, but it's still mostly subjective - how much weight each of us gives to certain elements. The actress, the way she's tied, her clothing or lack of it, how long the scene lasts, does there have to be a gag(and if so does the type matter, and on and on. When you saw it can matter a lot too. I have a special place in my heart for scenes with Phyllis Coates and Noel Neill from "Superman" and Frances Gifford from "Jungle Girl" because they were among the first scenes I encountered and let me know this was something I wanted to see. But they would probably be regarded as mostly snoozers today by younger fans. So: My own preferences today give a lot of weight to struggling/ escape attempts. I like to see captor - captive interaction, especially woman-woman. Hate loosies, really dislike hands in front. And now, since I'm a sucker for "best of" lists, I'll throw out my pick(s) and probably gnash my teeth later about missing a great one:
- Vanessa Marcil from "Las Vegas" - very long scene and virtually all the stuff I like. Would have been absolute perfection in my eyes if her hands had been taped behind her back and if the villain had had a kinky female helper.
- "Terror Among Us" - Sarah Purcell and others. Multiple damsels always = bonus points. Very intense sequence.
- "Nightmare Hotel" - one of my young teen crushes, Judy Geeson, bound, gagged, and stalked by a pair of homicidal sisters. Couldn't have been much better.
