| Anyone else ever have this happen? I just checked the Database to see if there were any entries for former soap queen Julia Barr and came across one dealing with an extended episode on "All My Children" during which she was bound and gagged in a basement and tried to alert visitors unstairs by enthusiastically kicking a handy radiator with her "long, shiny black boots." Wow. I loved reading that, stirring, as it did, old and only semi-available memories. And it was written so . . . knowingly, so provocatively, and so blamed eruditely . . . but then I remembered that -- holy moly! -- I wrote it! Years ago, long enough for my trauma-addled skull-soup to have lost all traces of doing plying the keys. Anyhow, "AMC" is supposed to celebrate their fortieth anniversary sometime this month, and I believe "that cute little monkey" Julia will be returning for the festivities. Wonder if there's any chance in heck that this special scene might be referenced or even re-shown? Nah. I'm never that lucky. Leo. |

As another poster mentioned, the host was male and I think he was supposed to be the guy who worked overnight master control for the channel airing bad movies. There would be little comedy bits in between the films featuring this guy and various characters. This particular segment had a very unatractive woman who had Soleil Moon Frye (early 20's) tied up (no gag) hands in front and I think rope was also wrapped around her chest. She refers to the ugly woman as her sister and begs her to untie the ropes because they really hurt. I missed the beginning of that skit and got the impression it had started before the previous movie. I taped the rest of the night but there was only one more segment and Soleil was untied in that one. I know I have the scene somewhere on some uncatalogued VHS tape. Nothing in her imdb resume rings a bell. She was definitely playing herself though. |

Neither Laura Wright or Julie Marie Berman have an entry in the db. That Lulu scene would be fantastic w/ a gag on her so I'm holding my breath it happens either before or after the preview photos we have seen. |
