Do they employ stock footage of these actions, or are the lead actors paid by the number of scenes in which they appear? If the lead actors are indeed paid by the number of scenes, then I can understand why it would be cheaper to pay an unknown double to perform a scene in which the lead actor's face isn't visible. Thank you for the information; I've learned so much about the entertainment business from perusing this Wesite! |

I just thought of something else-the scenes in which the actor's face aren't visible are most likely filmed concurrently with scenes in which the actor's presence is integral. This would account for the time, and hence monetary, savings. So, the application of a strip of tape to gag an actress may be performed by a double dressed as the actor. The scene may, in fact, be rewritten explicitly for this purpose simply to save time and money. |

Sunday January 24 02:12:17 2010 Has anything been happening on Mas Sabe El Diablo? |
I was wondering if anything has been happening on Mas Sabe el Diablo? With this soap approaching its final weeks I've been hoping for a scene with Gaby Espino. Thanks for reading my post. |

It's usually more that they can make better use of the actor's 'face time' by not having them stand around waiting for the scene to be set up and lit. Also sometimes practical effects have to be rigged. If you listen to commentary tracks on some movies or television shows, sometimes the commenter(s) will even joke about whose hand is really in the shot. Sometimes it's an in-joke, like the actor's brother or one of the writers or often even the director himself. More rarely, the actor is self-conscious about how his/her hand looks and doesn't want it shot close-up. Kim Basinger is supposedly well-known for this, although she's denied it. |

Assuming I don't screw this up, here's the Al Rio cover to the Neverland #3 comic that was alluded to recently. For a larger version, copy and paste this link: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v508/Jebdel/BestCB/rio_neverland3_largejpg.jpg |

I recall akaww's site -- she was a manipulator even before pencilpen, did a lot of (to my mind awesome) fakes starting no later than spring 1998 and closing down I think around 2000. Also, millstone frauds, which to my faulty memory flourished around 2000. These were both awesome fakes sites. There is an akaww tribute site somewhere... |
