| A few days back, we were all discussing Grail scenes, and I guess I found mind. I've heard descriptions of two commercials, neither of which anyone seems to have video of. One is a Budweiser commercial where a female band gets tied up and tape gagged, and another is a commercial for the WE Network where a family gets taped up and gagged by it's matriarch. Anyone have either of these scenes? |

They probably had no qualms about wrapping it straight around her head, because that stuff comes off so easily from skin and hair. Duct tape is a totally different matter... |

Parcel tape sticks very well to itself. If you think about what a wrap around tape gag actually does it's similar in intention to an OTM gag. it aims to cover the lips either to muffle sound, prevent the mouth from opening or hold packing in place. In most of those cases any tape that sticks to itself and is reasonably sticky to skin will work provided the wrapping is tight... Tight OTM gags work even though they are not sticky. Since it covers more of her mouth, I suspect the gag in Blind Witness is probably more effective that 2 of the 3 gags in Ulee's Gold. |

Usually on soaps (I think there was one last year on "General Hospital" with Lulu or someone) but sometimes in primetime also. Really ruins the scene for me. |

It all depends on the quality of either the Duct tape the or Parcel tape. The high quality, Brand Name, versions, especially Postal Grade Parcel Tape, of either stick pretty well to just about anything, and at one time 3M did market an easily tearable Postal Grade parcel tape. Dollar Store versions of either Duct Tape or Parcel Tape aren't good for much of anything. If you look at a certain video sharing site, you can find examples of just how totally ineffective and easily worked off Duct Tape is. JMHO AAYMMV |

A lot of little comedy touches as the guy coming to the "rescue" was David Vickers, the show's comedy relief. Upon finding Adriana tied up he said, "This is actually kind of hot." He also recommends a knot that Dorian, his lover and Adriana's mother, likes. Later, when explaining to her mother why she couldn't come to the phone, Adriana uses the classic chestnut about being tied up. Many years ago, David kidnapped and tied up Kelly (Gina Tognoni's characer), a shame the writers didn't mention that. |

Basically, the last time we saw Adrianna was on Monday when she left with the creepy French guy, as he was played out as one of Mitch Laurence's minions, but we didn't see her until when she was discovered bound and gagged by Kelly and David today. I might perhaps be the only one but as soon as I saw Melissa Fumero bound and gagged to the bed, I immediately remembered the scene in OSS 117. Anyway, despite the fact that it was brief, I'm very happy as I was wishing to see her bound and gagged since they missed that opportunity a couple of years ago. |

| and one more....in fact, on tonite's BURN NOTICE....when Gabrielle Anwar is found in the car trunk (around the 36:00 minute-mark by the way), her gag magically changes from a very wide OTM to a cleave in a matter of seconds, between shots! |
