Good question from months ago, and for what it's worth (in strikingly high volume) from tonight's Twitter: "Yeah didn't you??? XO RT [snip] @PaulaAbdul Didnt you say you were gonna be apart of the @NOH8Campaign? #NOH8" The only problem with this scenario is that Paula wouldn't be able to drink with a tape gag, unless she had a hole for a straw like in The Transporter or Wolf Lake. (I think we can all agree by now that a drunk Paula is by far the best Paula.) And then there's this from @OfficialKimora Lee Simmons: "http://twitpic.com/19pgjh - Me in the NO H8 campaign!! Don't hate! Congratulate!! ;) Love & Light, KLS" You heard the lady. tape gags : social justice :: chocolate : peanut butter |

Saturday March 20 13:03:52 2010 Excess Baggage |
Over on the Video Page, Sam posted a link to the short scenes of Alicia Silverstone clear-tape cleave gagged in this film. Funny this came up. I happened to recently read the original screenplay by Max Adams, who is a woman. Adams has the original Excess Baggage screenplay on her website, where she notes the studio made major changes, as is usual for Hollywood. But what's most interesting is that this scene would have been much longer and more involved if shot as scripted. Some excerpts: ----- "(Emily) hangs up and, working fast now, because time is running out, gags herself -- a real gag: stuffing, knots, the works." (Later...) "(Will) pops the trunk -- there's Emily, bound and gagged, looking the worse for the ride, glaring up at him -- it might have been a mistake, her cuffing her arms behind her back." (This is followed by a "conversation" between the two in which Emily's dialogue is represented by numerous "mmmmphs.") (Later...) "Emily ... struggles again to get her hands past her feet. Struggles some more. They come free. Next job is to wrench the gag away -- she tied a good gag, so it's tough going, but she gets it off. She yanks stuffing from her mouth, takes a big breath -- spits, tries to wet her mouth." ----- Pretty impressive, huh? And presumably written by someone with at least some interest in the "scene," given the details. Sadly, Adams hasn't had a credited screenplay produced since. |

> Pretty impressive, huh? I don't really think a woman writing a B&G scene is all that crazy. There are a few people, even in comics and other mediums, who have scripted some pretty titilating scenes involving bondage. In fact, I think a woman wrote an issue of Birds of Prey that had a buxom blonde nurse stripped to her panties and bound and gagged. |

Didn't someone say a week or so ago that there was supposed to be a scene on the upcoming "Chuck"? And that it was supposed to be a 2-part episode, tomorrow nite (Sunday) and Monday? I could have sworn I'd read that but there is no episode tomorrow nite. |
