Wednesday March 03 10:30:49 2010 THIN MAN reference |
I am almost certain that I saw a scene in a THIN MAN movie, starring William Powell & Myrna Loy, in which the latter was bound to a chair & gagged. I don't find either a THIN MAN "movie", nor Myrna Loy so listed in the DataBase. Am I off-key here, or can someone verify my memory? - dw |

However, there was a short lived tv show based on the adventures of Powell & Loy called The Thin Man. I read once that there is a lengthy scene where the woman is tied and gagged and hops to a car and manages to honk the horn with her nose or something (roughly working from memory here, may be quite inaccurate). I have never seen this scene, and last I checked it was not in the database. Anyone know anything about this? |

Can anyone think of any scenes where the captive has her elbows tied behind her back as well as her wrists? |
Wednesday March 03 16:26:22 2010 Re: *MORE* Good News about CASTLE!! |
In the promo for the upcoming episode, "The Mistress Always Spanks Twice" We find out the following, the medical examiner Lanie Parish will do the whip cream bikini and covered in chocolate, but not caramel (I think that’s what the victim was covered in). Det. Beckett knows the difference between regular bondage cuffs and suspension cuffs, mass market bondage cuffs and custom cuffs (better leather and hand stitching). She also knows only a few companies in New York do that kind of work. Chances are other than the victim, no one will be in bondage, but still. |

Kristin Kreuk, in her upcoming B&G scene on 'Chuck' (hopefully) Sorry, Monday's episode was Kristin's last on Chuck. She's already signed to play the lead on Josh Schwartz's new sitcom "Hitched". |

Actually, relentless optimist that I am, I'm still holding out hope that this "alternate timeline" on Lost will improve the likelihood we might get another scene. Yes, there was a putz on Tuesday's episode -- the Korean dude, Jin. He's apparently been held hostage by some gangsters. But we never learned how that happened, and last time we saw him in this timeline, he was in the company of his hottie wife Sun, played by Yunjin Kim. We know Jin was up to some shady dealings, and we haven't seen how this storyline resolves yet. Might Sun also have been taken hostage, perhaps by some associated gangesters? It's a reach, I know, but I'm hopeful this storyline turns into some sort of Sun-in-distress action before the show wraps up in a few months. |

Yeah, there was a "Thin Man" series in the late 50's where Phyllis Kirk took over the "Nora Charles" role from Myrna Loy. There were at least 2 episodes where she ended up bound & gagged, including the one you described with her in the chair & by the car. Incidently to the original poster, Myrna Loy DOES have at least ONE bound & gagged scene that I know of...in the movie from the early 30's (1930 I believe) called RENEGADES. It's a rather long shot & no good scenes of her but she DOES get tied & gagged in this one. I'm surprised it isn't in the database. |

Actually, I just checked and this movie IS listed in the Database.....you can find it when searching by title AND by using "Myrna Loy". You must have missed it or spelled her name wrong, but it's there. |

In the case of next Monday (March 8th), it's an episode of a *CRIME* show with a BDSM theme. Anything can happen. In the case of the two-parter on March 21st & 22nd, it's about a "cunning and elusive serial killer" and looks like the name of the game will be SUSPENSE. Episode titles: "Tick, Tick, Tick", and "Boom". Do we *know* somebody will get bound & gagged next to a bomb? NO. Will it be Beckett? (or Castle's cute little Nancy-Drew-waiting-to-happen daughter?) No. Is my Damsel-in-Distress glass half full? Yes. Check your local listings! |

Sneak peeks of the show have a deceased girl covered in caramel with leather suspension cuffs. Beckett says "those are custom made cuffs. Only a handful of bondage stores in the city do custom work." To which Nathan Fillion's Castle responds: "How do YOU know that? What are you NOT telling me?" She says "So much. So very, very much." Reason enough to get me to watch the show...LOL |

Wednesday March 03 21:13:45 2010 possible late Canadian alert: Republic of Doyle |
On right now on CBC. Plot deals with an amnesiac woman. Saw a promo last week that showed she was probably gagged at some point. Canadian viewers might want to check it out. |
