Friday October 24 05:57:27 2003 Beyonce and the "Baby Boy" video-the last word |
Okay, I had been grabbing the video off the BET and MTV "countdown" shows (hey, I don't sit around watching these channels all the time like some people) without realizing that they don't show the whole thing-they often truncate the last few seconds. I realized this might be an issue when our intrepid database entry author emphasized in his or her second effort that the scene was just about at the very end of the video.
Well, I managed to catch the entire video on MTV 2 a few minutes ago, and I'm afraid I'll have to qualify my initial assertion that there's nothing even remotely resembling bondage in it. Indeed, in the next-to-last shot, Beyonce-or an extra; her hairdo's different so it's hard to tell, although it looks like her-dangles from a tree branch by a rope, although it's difficult to see (at least to me) whether she's merely hanging onto it, or if it's really tied around her wrists. Earlier, during the "sashaying" sequence I mentioned in my original post, she's shown holding the rope by one hand, which I thought might have sparked someone's overactive imagination. Clearly, this second scene is intended to do just that. My apologies to the database contributor, and I vote that the scene be put back in with the above qualifications. |

#5841
I don't think this belongs in the Database. Since when is an elective surgery's anesthesia mask considered "bondage"? A DiD menaced by a mad doctor may qualify, but this clearly doesn't apply here. Otherwise, every anesthesia scene occurring in a "Hospital" show would qualify as "bondage". |
