They bind her wrists in front and gag her with a jawbreaker candy and overlapping strips of tape. Then she is forced into a trunk of a car. In addition to this scene at the beginning, there are later flashbacks. Caveat: she swallows the jawbreaker and chokes to death. |

Record number: 5265 Title: Cold Heart (2001) Medium: Movie Actress: Natassja Kinski, Hudson Leick, Janne Campbell Description: Nice surprise in this straight to video thriller. At the very beginning of the movie Janne is shown elaborately bound with ropes (in a style reminiscent of commercial bondage videos) and gagged with silver tape. She's also just wearing a camisole and panties. Note, there are also fairly realistic rope burns shown as she struggles to get free from her bonds. At an hour is the turn of a still cute Natassja to be bound to a chair, hands behind and gagged on-screen with duct tape. You can see Nastassja's lips try to breathe and move frantically underneath the tape. Later, her captor peels off the tape slowly in such a way that you see her lips being pulled as well--no backing here. Towards the movie's climax, we see Hudson Leick (Xena's Callisto), with her arms bound in the same intricate way as the first damsel. In a later shot, it seems that her legs get bound as well (when she's in the backseat of a car), but there are no good shots of her below the waist. |

Coulter plays the obligatory cop's girlfriend/kidnap victim who's shown about 10 minutes from the end gagged and rather elaborately bound with duct tape on a bed, strapped to a bomb the mastermind will set off if the record's broken. Happens in the last half. |

Record number: 197 Title: Deadly Lessons (1983) Medium: Movie Actress: Ally Sheedy, Diane Franklin Description: About 1 hour and 10 minutes into the movie, Marita Armstrong (Sheedy), a student in an exclusive girls' summer school, goes into a basement to get a suitcase and is grabbed and handgagged by a killer who has been menacing the campus. She wakes up to find herself tied to a chair with thin rope wrapped around her upper body and thighs, her hands bound behind her. Her ankles tied together as well. She is gagged with wide white tape. She wears a white top and white shorts. The villain, elderly caretaker Mr. Hartigan (Donald Hutton), sits in front of her and gives a monologue. Marita sits still, looking frightened. She is ungagged at one point, but Hartigan doesn't believe what she says. He puts the tape gag back on, puts a record on the record player, tells Ally to "sit here quiet and still and listen to the music" and leaves. Ally tries to drag her chair to the phonograph. Failing that, she manages to stand up and hop across the room, still tied to the chair. She reaches the record player, pulls back the needle with her chin and turns up the volume knob with her elbow. Alerted by the noise, the rescuers enter. Stefanie Aggiston (Franklin) is handgagged and dragged away in a scene somewhat later in the film. |
