Record number: 68 Title: Gilligan's Island Medium: TV Series Actress: Dawn Wells, Tina Louise, Natalie Schafer Description: Episode: "How to Be a Hero" (1.24) Gilligan is depressed over his failure to rescue Mary Ann from drowning-- the Skipper saves them both. Later, Gilligan sees a headhunter on the island, but no one believes him. However, the other castaways decide to disguise the Skipper as a headhunter and allow him to "capture" them so that Gilligan can become a hero. Unfortunately, Gilligan overhears the plan. Meanwhile, the real headhunter captures Mary Ann, Ginger and the Professor. The Howells find the threesome tied hand and foot to stakes. Frond (!) gags cover their mouths, and despite mmpphing for all they're worth, they are unable to warn the millionaire and his wife that the headhunter is behind them. It's a brief scene, but it features a long shot of the three of them-- Mary Ann is wearing her trademark short shorts, and Ginger is wearing a form-fitting dress fashioned from some item from the Minnow ("S.S. MINNOW" is prominently displayed on the skirt) in the background. In a later scene, two more stakes have been added, and Gilligan discovers the five captives tied up. The Howells have not been gagged, but they are unable to convice Gilligan that this situation is anything other than a trick. The real headhunter returns, and Gilligan "plays along" in a mock fight scene. During the shenanigans, there is a close-up of Mary Ann, and several shots in which she is prominently featured, writhing at the stake. (Ginger remains only in long shots.) Finally, the Skipper (disguised as a headhunter) shows up, and Gilligan realizes the truth in time to send his foe into a handy campfire. After everyone has been untied, Mary Ann can be seen holding a loop of the rope. This is from the first season of black-and-white episodes, subsequently colorized, and begins around the fifteen-minute mark. |

The hacker accosts her after she slips into his house and ties her to a chair, hands behind her back, in his basement, enhancing the symbolism of the scene by using computer cables around her wrists and torso, a flat ribbon cable to strap her head to a board fastened to the chair back, and wide black electrical tape to gag her. Action begins around the last twenty minutes. |

| @Midnight Space/Imagination Record number: 6931 Title: Creeping Flesh, The (1973) Medium: Movie Actress: Lorna Heilbron Description: About midway through this Hammer horror classic, Heilbron goes nuts and assaults some people. She winds up being pursued by a mob. She takes refuge in a loft where she's accosted and handgagged several times by a madman. She kills the madman but is caught by the police. There follow several nice shots of her wearing heavy iron manacles, including some closeups as she looks out of the barred windows of a paddy wagon. She's later sent to her father's house, where' she still wears the iron manacles for a time. There's a final scene at the end of them movie of her in a cell and wearing manacles. Record number: 282 Title: Target (1985) Medium: Movie Actress: Gayle Hunnicutt Description: Ex-spy Walter Lloyd (Gene Hackman) and his son Chris (Matt Dillon) are chased around by someone with a grudge. Right near the end the bad guys - or at least one lot of bad guys, there are a couple of groups - grab Walter's wife Donna (Hunnicutt). She's the "target" to lure father and son to their doom. The scene that follows is one of the better bondage episodes in movies. Gayle (well-clothed and wearing high heels) is tightly strapped into a seat high up on a platform in a warehouse. She's wired all over with connections to a bomb. She has hankerchief stuffed in her mouth and held in place by a narrow cloth. A bomb is wired up to the chair and a lengthy scene follows, cutting back and forth to various shots of the victim, as the battle rages and as they try to remove the wires from Gayle. She's even still gagged and has her hands tied behind as they hustle her off to safety. |
