Record number: 255 Title: Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981) Medium: Movie Actress: Karen Allen Description: About halfway into the movie, Marion Ravenwood (Allen) is nabbed by the evil Nazis. Later hero Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) stumbles upon her in a Bedouin tent, cleave gagged with a sodden hankerchief, her wrists bound behind her back and around the center pole which supports the tent's roof. Indy ungags her and they have a tender reunion (he thought she was dead) but then rethinks the situation and decides to regag her much to her understandable (and vocal) dismay. Later, she is seen in the same predicament, briefly, as she tries to squirm away from one of the villians who unties her. In these scenes she's wearing slacks and a white and red patterned blouse. Towards the end of the film, Marion and Indy are tied to a stake back to back while the Nazis prepare to open the Ark. The ropes, curiously, tie their left wrists to the corresponding right one of their partner. When the spirits of the Ark are released, they destroy the Nazis and burn through the heroes bindings, leaving them unscathed. In the latter scene, Marion is wearing a white satin cocktail dress. |

Around 8 or so mins later, she's tied to a post, with hands appearing to be behind her. No gags in either scene. @2:00pm BravoC Record number: 14 Title: Jamaica Inn (1939) Medium: Movie Actress: Maureen O'Hara Description: Bound, wrists behind the back, and gagged on-screen with silk handkerchiefs near the end of the movie. Many, many close-ups (including a great one while she is being gagged) in this long, classic scene. @9:00pm Space/Imagination Record number: 1689 Title: Universal Soldier: The Return (1999) aka Universal Soldier II aka Universal Soldier IV Medium: Movie Actress: Kiana Tom Description: Gets grabbed in the woods right at the beginning of the movie then tied with her hands behind a tree. The bad guy rips her shirt open, but the good guy rescues her before things get too steamy. No gag. @9:00pm CJMT (Possible?) U-Man (2002) These Commonwealth "Wacky Cops & Robbers + Babes" plots are at times good possibilities. Hoping it's another Cop Shop Babes. Tape at own risk here. |

His fiancee Kate Foley (Gray) has fallen in love with good brother Frank Plummer (Wild Bill Elliott), so naturally brother Jim is unhappy with her choice of men. In a brief scene he leaves her bound hands-behind-back on the platform of a passenger car while the gang transfers the gold to a waiting cart. Frank soon sneaks up and unties her. Not much of scene, but we are rewarded with one good line. When Frank leads her towards the back of the train, Kate asks him where he's taking her. "Why, I'm tieing you up. Can't let my future wife get away from me again!" |
