Record number: 617 Title: Black Swan, The (1942) Medium: Movie Actress: Maureen O'Hara, two unknown Description: Two young women in nightgowns are seized during a pirate raid on their town at the beginning of this film. They are carried bound across the pirates' shoulders. At the shore they are deposited on the beach where they are laid on their backs among the loot. They struggle and one refuses to drink wine. They are rescued. Later, Maureen O'Hara is abducted by a pirate suitor. She is forced into a carriage while gagged with her own shawl. From the position of her arms it seems they are bound and her legs probably are too. In the final sequence, after she is forced to masquerade as her abductor's wife, another pirate seizes her as a hostage. Since she is seized from bed, she is wearing a nightgown. She is tied in a cabin with her hands behind her, her bindings also being fastened to some piece of furniture. She struggles mightily. |

We see quick shots of the wife and daughter (the latter only glimpsed). There may be more -- my memory's fuzzy on this ep. I just wanted to get it in the DB. @1:00pm Space/Imagination Record number: 5121 Title: Earth: Final Conflict Medium: TV Series Actress: Jayne Heitmeyer Description: Episode: "Blood Ties" (4.18) Ms. Heitmeyer is strapped down to a table at around the 45' mark. Nice scene, but sans gag. |

Record number: 16 Title: Avengers, The (1961) Medium: TV Series Actress: Linda Thorson Description: Episode: "Split" (6.5) The evil Dr. Constantine has Tara chloroformed and then brought to his hospital in order to transfer the mind of a sinister criminal into hers! Tara is seen unconscious strapped to a moving table with what looks like gauze bandages. When she comes to and starts to open her mouth a plastic, or rubber ball, is dropped into her mouth and the gauze around her chest is pulled up to cover her mouth. While the gag looks lame -- it's tied to the table, not at the back of her neck -- when Steed lowers it, we see that her mouth has a wad of cotton in it, which Steed quickly plucks out. Also A LOT of moaning and struggling in this rather long scene, close-ups too. |
