She is bound and gagged in an abandoned restaurant, a school auditorium, the back of a trailer and finally, the metal stairs at the top of an old power plant. She is a meek and scared captive. Sometimes the school scene, where she sits gagged in the front row while her kidnapper does a vaudeville act, is cut from reruns. |

The scene occurs in the last ten minutes of the movie. Jody quickly unties herself and, when faced with Murdock's incredulity, tells him she once worked with an escape artist named 'Morty the Magnificent'. "The trick is in flexing your wrists when they guy from the audience is tying you up. We used to practice all the time; Morty loved to tie me up."
