Record number: 282 Title: Target (1985) Medium: Movie Actress: Gayle Hunnicutt Description: Ex-spy Walter Lloyd (Gene Hackman) and his son Chris (Matt Dillon) are chased around by someone with a grudge. Right near the end the bad guys - or at least one lot of bad guys, there are a couple of groups - grab Walter's wife Donna (Hunnicutt). She's the "target" to lure father and son to their doom. The scene that follows is one of the better bondage episodes in movies. Gayle (well-clothed and wearing high heels) is tightly strapped into a seat high up on a platform in a warehouse. She's wired all over with connections to a bomb. She has hankerchief stuffed in her mouth and held in place by a narrow cloth. A bomb is wired up to the chair and a lengthy scene follows, cutting back and forth to various shots of the victim, as the battle rages and as they try to remove the wires from Gayle. She's even still gagged and has her hands tied behind as they hustle her off to safety. |

She has her nightgown ripped off of her. She is strangled. Later Juliette Lewis has her hands cuffed above her head while she is laying on a bed. She too is blindfolded. No gags. @9:00pm YTV Record number: 6829 Title: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Medium: TV Series Actress: Alyson Hannigan, Michelle Trachtenberg Description: Episode: "Normal Again" (6.17) Rough sketch of the show: Buffy is attacked by a demon which makes here hallucinate that she is actually in an insane asylum, not the 'slayer.' Alright, the good stuff: As part of her delusional 'treatment' Buffy is directed to end her fantasy by destroying the objects of her fantasy. This is accomplished by allowing a demon (which is conveniently located in the basement) to kill her sister and friends. We start roughly at the 30' mark when we find Willow (Hannigan) bound and tape gagged. A couple of good close-ups and some decent mmmphing. After the break, Buffy fights Dawn (Trachtenberg) to submission. The scene then cuts to the basement where Buffy tape gags Dawn on screen. Not as many close ups this time, but the mmmphing is better. Both are shown bound and gagged on the floor for a couple of minutes and are rescued by Tara (Amber Benson of 'The Crush' fame.) Guy alert. |

The scene occurs around 39' in. The tape is removed, then reapplied when the police arrive. The kidnapper is apprehended, and a detective finds her and ungags her just before the sequence ends. This latter scene comes in at about the 52' mark. |

Record number: 1462 Title: Oblivion (1994) Medium: Movie Actress: Jackie Swanson Description: Very odd sci-fi Western satire, with Swanson as the nice girl in town who's grabbed by a whip-wielding lesbian baddie, who hand-gags her and leads her off-camera at about an hour and 15 minutes. A few minutes later the hero and an impromptu posse arrive at the badlands just outside of town, where Swanson stands next to the villains cleave-gagged with a red bandanna and her hands supposedly tied behind her back (the bonds are never shown). When the shooting starts, she shoves the baddie next to her and makes a run for it, only to be brought down by the lead villain when he shoots her in the leg. The blood from the wound (which also isn't shown) attracts a giant scorpion which advances towards her as she kicks, writhes, and screams. A somewhat shorter version of this scene, without the original abduction, is shown at the beginning of the sequel Backlash: Oblivion 2(1996). |

| Tonight on America's Most Wanted was a feature about a woman whose car broke down. She got help from the wrong man, who held her prisoner in his home. There are very brief shots of a woman restrained to a bed--a leather strap for the ankles, handcuffs, and a flash of a white cloth wad stuffed into her mouth.
Not for everyone, since it is a true story and the woman was beaten and raped. |
