| @1:55am CITY Record number: 1602 Title: Wild Gals of the Naked West (1962) Medium: Movie Actress: Unknown Description: In this lesser known Russ Meyer western, a girl is tied to a pole topless while an indian does a wardance around her. @4:30am CKVR Record number: 2521 Title: Pacific Blue Medium: TV Series Actress: Paula Trickey Description: Episode: "Kidnapped" (5.20) Cori is grabbed by a bad guy and blindfolded, bound and handgagged @2:00pm HISTCAN Record number: 987 Title: Rio Bravo (1959) Medium: Movie Actress: Estelita Rodriguez Description: This western stars John Wayne as the sheriff in a small town. He's friends with a local Spanish couple that runs the hotel. At one part the bad guys try to get him while he's in the hotel and the girl, Consuela is tied up and gagged in the other room. She is bound to a chair and cleave-gagged with a yellow cloth. There is only one pretty good close-up and her husband gets B&G too, so try to ignore him. Unfortunately, his gagging happens on screen, and hers does not. Ms. Rodriguez is very cute, however. A good, but brief scene. It happens about 3/4 through the movie. PS-This movie kicks ass, especially if you like westerns! @3:00pm Space/Imagination Record number: 5333 Title: Black Scorpion Medium: TV Series Actress: Michelle Lintel Description: Episode: "Power Play" (1.18) In this episode, there are two scenes for Black Scorpion (Lintel). In one, the villainess (who wears the largest, most decorated bra I've ever seen outside a Madonna video) throws Black Scorpion into a chair and uses pyschic powers to wrap coils of electrical cable around her entire torso, covering her more or less from knees to shoulders. In a second scene, the villainess tosses Black Scorpion into an electrocution chair, makes cuffs snap shut at her wrists and ankles, makes the headband lower over her head, and tries to fry her. Doesn't work, and Black Scorpion winds up kicking her ass. @8:00pm TFC Record number: 1412 Title: Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Medium: TV Series Actress: Barbara Alyn Woods Description: Episode:"Honey, You'll Always Be a Princess to Me" (2.15) Laying on a sacrificial altar, implicitly tied although you don't ever see any ropes, a Druid pulls out a white cloth and cleave-gags her but doesn't even tie it, just holds it in place. A "don't blink or you'll miss it" scene (AKA by the time you press record the scene is over). Wearing a red wig and purple satin pajamas (very nice). Happens in the last half. @8:00pm TVOntario Record number: 1459 Title: Palm Beach Story, The (1942) Medium: Movie Actress: Claudette Colbert Description: During the opening credits of this Preston Sturges farce, she's shown bound and wrap-gagged in her underwear in a closet-for a reason that can't be revealed without giving away the movie's big secret. She puts up quite a struggle, eventually kicking out the door's bottom panel and flailing her legs through the opening to attract attention. |

Record number: 2244 Title: Striking Distance (1993) Medium: Movie Actress: Sarah Jessica Parker, Unknown Description: Right at the beginning, an unknown actress is lying on the floor. She's tightly cleave-gagged, her feet tied and wrists tied behind her back. It's a short scene, but there's at least some struggling and moaning. At about the 35 - 40 minute mark we see the feet, ankles and calves of another victim with the ankles tied separately to the front legs of a chair. Then we see Bruce Willis reacting to what he hears over the phone: gagged wimpering, a gunshot, followed by silence. Later in the movie, Sarah Jessica Parker is seated in a chair with her wrists cuffed behind her back. |

| Sorry for the late alert, but Gina Gershon gets a good scene in the last half hour of this one. She's duct taped gagged with wrists taped to arms of chair. Nice long scene.
This is one of those channels where you're never sure, particularly on the weekend, whether these movies are merely local or national or even the correct times. The above applies to NYC. |

| Actually, Liberty (Linda Fiorentino, of After Hours and Unforgettable fame) doesn't have much choice, since, according to the preview I've read, she's shackled to a hot-dog stand rigged with a bomb. And if that isn't enough peril, she's in the sights of an ex-CIA-agent sniper (Wesley Snipes), whose daughter wound up on the wrong end of a gun manufactured by the company Liberty owns. Since the whole point of her predicament, of course, is to force an open discussion of the gun-control issue, there's little chance of a gag, but hey, you never know. Let's just hope the scriptwriters are smart enough not to simply cuff her at one wrist (and thus foretell how she'll probably escape). Fiorentino's about due for another good scene, don't you think? In case it really pans out, the film will run again on MAX this coming Wednesday at the same time, and on MoreMax Sunday at 7:15 p. m. EDT, and again on Friday at 9 p. m. EDT. |

The perp then rigs the stove's pilot light to explode and the kitchen catches fire; the woman is trapped in the inferno and becomes the serial killer's third victim. Fortunately this is not shown. It's a pretty good scene up to that point. |
