What a cheery concept for a film. Thankfully, when see one of them tied to the bed she's alive and mmmphing through her tape-gagged mouth. The movie's title comes from the game played between the killer and a grandmaster of chess, who is given the task of trying to work out the puzzling clues as one by one more women die. Near the end of the movie the maniac kidnaps Erica (Isabelle), the daughter of the chess guy and ties her to a chair in a basement where rising water will drown her. ___________ @3:00am CKVR Record number: 1310 Title: Pacific Blue Medium: TV Series Actress: Darlene Vogel, Shana Moakler (as Shanna Moakler) Description: Episode: "Near Death" (4.19) Chris (Vogel) is taken captive by a burglar who blames her husband for his wife's death. He knocks her out and takes her back to his hideout. We see her sitting in a chair with her hands behind her back and her ankles taped together, still unconscious. He gags her with a short strip of black tape. When she comes around, she watches as her captor kills one of his confederates. The next scene begins as we see Chris through the view screen of a camcorder. The villain removes her gag so that the video of her death will be more wrenching to her husband. When the husband and other cops arrive, her ankles are untaped so she can be hauled around to the front window. The opening credits include a very short yet exciting handcuff tease with the apparently topless Monica Harper (Moakler). |

Record number: 6849 Title: Secret Adventures of Jules Verne, The Medium: TV Series Actress: Francesca Hunt Description: Episode: "The Eyes of Lazarus" (1.07) Hunt plays a Victorian era Emma Peel named Rebecca Fogg, the first female agent of the British Secret Service. In this episode the spirit of a dangerous enemy agent possesses her, leading to a high tech (by period standards at least) exorcism in the last 15-20 minutes. She’s strapped down to a lab table and violently struggles until the spirit is eventually sucked into a device above her head. This scene is disappointing for several reasons. Hunt underplays her femininity to convey being possessed by an evil man so her hair, clothing and manner are all very masculine and cold. There’s also a lot of male interference and the sequence is edited poorly. A gag isn’t even involved. There are a few good close ups of her waist area as she struggles while wearing tight dark slacks, but they don’t last long. |

There's a struggle scene in which she's gassed and injected with sodium pentothal (I suppose) previous to the BG scene, at around the 40' mark. The BG scene comes in about 45' in. |

Record number: 16 Title: Avengers, The (1961) Medium: TV Series Actress: Linda Thorson Description: Episode: "Split" (6.5) The evil Dr. Constantine has Tara chloroformed and then brought to his hospital in order to transfer the mind of a sinister criminal into hers! Tara is seen unconscious strapped to a moving table with what looks like gauze bandages. When she comes to and starts to open her mouth a plastic, or rubber ball, is dropped into her mouth and the gauze around her chest is pulled up to cover her mouth. While the gag looks lame -- it's tied to the table, not at the back of her neck -- when Steed lowers it, we see that her mouth has a wad of cotton in it, which Steed quickly plucks out. Also A LOT of moaning and struggling in this rather long scene, close-ups too. |

I only mention this possibility for those who might be interested as the potential damsel is hardly the woman I would care to see in bondage but here it goes anyway. The older of the two women who escaped from Statesville Prison has happened onto the character named Roxie and has talked about keeping her quiet at the end of Tuesday's episode. This sounds to me like the opportunity for a scene. Roxie is a loud cheap woman in her 40's at least who is ugly at worst and average looking at best. But you never know, maybe a gag will improve her looks. |
