Record number: 652 Title: Outsider, The (1997) aka Gangster World Medium: TV Movie Actress: Bridget Flanery (as Bridget Flannery) Description: Her character, kidnapped by gangster-playing androids in a virtual-reality game gone amok, is first seen in a long over the shoulder carry with a lot of dialog during it, followed by a breif on-screen stuff-gag in which the villain says, "If it's too noisy, stick a sock in it." Then she's briefly shown in several long shots during a fight sequence, strung up by her wrists and gagged. Later she is shown tied to a chair in a longer scene -- once again, lots of dialog while she's tied. Earlier in the film there are two shots of an unidentifed actress in a standing spreadeagle with leather cuffs around her wrists while she engages in S & M activity with some of the androids. |

The Penguin wants to marry her and will kill her father, Commissioner Gordon, unless she accedes to his nupitial demands. The gag's removed and she's unbound several minutes later (this latter scene was cut from the SCIFI airing). Little does the Penguin know that Barbara Gordon is the secret identity for Batgirl . . . . |
