Yeah, I remember when the show was in it's first initial run, I kept wishin' & hopin' for Deanna Lund to "get it." Was mostly disappointed, but that one episode certainly delivered! As far as U. S. TV shows, this one is among my ALL TIME favs My only "complaint" - (not really a complaint) - was that she didn't struggle too much! |

True - she was of the "resigned to her fate" school, and therefore not quite as great as possible. Still, a magnificent gift horse to be "looking in the mouth." |

I remember seeing this one on network TV way WAY back in the day as a kid.....it was memorable because it was the very first cleave gag I ever saw. Before that, all gags I'd seen on TV or comics were either regular OTMs or exaggerated detective gags. I recall thinking how weird it looked that the cloth was actually in her mouth between her teeth rather than just over the lips. I guess we all had to start somewhere!! Funny the stuff you remember as a kid! |

Sunday July 10 11:59:11 2022 Another golden oldie starting |
"The Adventures of Superman" episode "The Mystery of the Broken Statues" is about to start on H&I. "If you're nice to miss Lane, maybe she'll play canasta with you." |

Virtually all of the ones with Noel Neill were pretty tame, in retrospect! |

Sunday July 10 21:58:56 2022 Haunting of Bly Manor handgag scene |
In all the excitement of Victoria Pedretti's excellent full treatment scene in The Haunting of Bly Manor a few years back, I believe we overlooked a pretty solid handgag scene for Kate Siegel's character in episode 8. It occurs first at 26:50, and then we see it from another angle again at 36:52. Warnings for violence and footage being in black and white, but it's of a reasonable length, we get a closeup on her face, she performs the hell out of it, and as a bonus it's a woman performing the handgag on her. |
