Naah, I don't think she is abducted in that scene you are talking about. She is just threatened. The trailer also shows a glimpse of what I suppose is the next scene after she is threatened, she tazers the guy and tells him to back off. Don't suppose there will be a scene in the film. Would love to be proven wrong.

I'm interested. Can you tell us the name of this show?

Given the premise I think there could certainly be a possibility of Aubrey getting a scene. It's hard to tell for sure with only some brief snippets of footage from the trailer.

Also worth noting Gina Gershon is in this. No sign of her in the trailer, but it'd be neat for her to get a new scene all these years later as well. Her Palmetto scene is an all-time favorite of mine.

Spin Me Round
Trailer for a movie with Alison Brie and Aubrey Plaza show a blonde woman ball gagged and blindfolded. Could be a possibility for Alison or Aubrey as well.

A good onscreen tying
For me, many things can make a good onscreen tying in a film or TV show.

The damsel knows she will be tied up, because she sees the rope who will be used or the guy tell her “I have to tie you up” or he says to another “Tie her up!” Anyway, she knows what will happen to her. It means also she’s not KO or chloroformed.

I prefer rope to handcuff. With rope it takes time to bind. With handcuff, “clic – clic” and it is mostly done…

A good view is also important. I prefer to see he is binding her wrists behind her then to assume what he’s doing.

See her to react to the feeling of the binding is also a
great moment of the onscreen tying for me. Is she complaining? Begs? She is scared? Try to resist maybe?

For sure, I have also my own tastes on the look of the Damsel, on what she’s wearing and How she is tied up, but here I limit to What I like from an Onscreen tying specifically.

And you do you have any preference on this particular moment?

To me, a reaction before the binding is a plus. For instance, when the actress playing Laura Palmer in "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me" sees a guy grabbing some rope and screams "No - don't tie us up!" I've also seen TV shows or movies where the woman starts getting nervous when someone else picks up rope or a role of tape after making a remark about "keeping her there for a while" or similar, though I can't think of examples at the moment. Those are nice, although not essential to my enjoyment. Rope or tape or pantyhose (The Babysitter's Seduction") are definitely better than cuffs or zip ties, because the woman is likely to struggle a lot more, and that to me makes a great scene. I do appreciate shots establishing that the wrists are actually confined. I can't get too excited about scenes where she may just be holding her hands behind her back. "It happened at Nightmare Inn" ("Candle for the Devil") Is so much better because of seeing a scarf going around the woman's wrists and then seeing her hands bound behind her as she runs around seeking escape than it would have been with just shots of her backing away or something.

I actually love the surprise moments. The damsel (to be) is cruising along, thinking everything is OK and then -- boom -- she's getting grabbed, bound and gagged in an instant. I love that surprise element, which sometimes includes a gasp from the damsel as the process starts (think Man without a Face, MacMillan and Wife).

One odd moment was Mare of Easttown, where the damsel knew the routine. Poker night, so they don't speak or move. Guy comes in, hands her the gag, she's resigned to gagging herself, and then he manacles her hands in front.

Lies My Sister Told Me
Wasted evil twin storyline in this Lifetime movie. Nothing unfortunately, except brief tie up for Nicole Johnson in the final 10 minutes. Strapped to a wheelchair, hands at side, barely visible.

Nothing worth seeing here. They also wasted a potential tie-up opportunity for the super cute friend played by Scout Smith and the hot daughter as well.

Hope we see Nicole in something down the line.
