Not only the Avengers, but also The Man from UNCLE, It Takes a Thief, Batman... The sixties were a golden age for shows that made knowing winks to our tastes while serving up stylish entertainment. By the seventies, adventure shows had gone so far downhill that it is hard to watch them except for the scenes. And lately, most Hollywood actresses' looks are ruined by anorexia, wacky workout regimens, and plastic surgery.

Run for Your Life
Speaking of the 60's, I would agree they were a golden age for our interest.

I just got around to reviewing an episode of "Run for Your Life" that I recorded here in Chicago over the weekend. It turned out to be the Karen Jensen episode where she and Marsha Hunt are tied to chairs and cloth gagged.

Karen Jensen is gorgeous in this episode.

It's one of those scenes where the gags change from one camera angle to another from OTM, to half cleave to full cleave. And they're all beautiful. (Except for Ben Gazzara.)

The guy is not gagged so in my book he is not a putz, he is tied up, but the woman and daughter are gagged.
However the real disturbing thing in that scene is the corpse that changes from life to dead on and on according to the killer mind.

On another note, who really expected that the corpse will be gagged?

CSI: Miami
Natasha Henstridge will play an undercover agent in the season finale of CSI: Miami and possibly into next season, TV Guide is reporting.

With the show's recent gag streak, this would be welcome for next season. I wouldn't mind her replacing Emily Procter, who is a complete bore on that show.

Is there going to be a Steve Trevor in the series? Ultimate bad news if there will be

Part of Steve Trevor is played by Payton Haas.

You know, he had one part after that series with Jessica Alba. I guess not a bad way to remember a brief career.

Too bad the iterations of Wonder Woman with Lynda Carter had a Steve Trevor character. If they had not, they might have tied her up once in a while.

Actually they did "tie her up." In fact, they tied her up numerous times, gagged her 3 times, bound her at least 4 times as WW, once she was chained spread eagle to the floor. What was missing was one good "tie and gag" scene in Costume. They also could have gagged Diana Prince much more often than they did. Oddly, they let some of the best opportunities go and gratuitously gagged her on a boat and in an empty warehouse.

I disagree. I know this is somewhat out-of-the-box thinking, but the fact that scenes with putzes exist is a benefit to getting more scenes with damsels.

Shows can't get away with exclusively tying up women the way they did before. If they did that, they'd be screamed at for being sexist and misogynistic, condoning violence against women, etc.

I don't like putz scenes any more than anyone else, but I realize they're a necessary evil to continuing to get damsel scenes in 2011. If we're going to get damsel scenes on WW (or Charlie's Angels, or anything else), that's most likely to happen if we have scenes in general. I'm perfect happy to ignore a putz scene if the next week brings a damsel scene.

I don't think we have to worry about Steve Trevor being the Lois to Wonder Woman's Superman and needing to be rescued all the time. (Admittedly, that would really suck.) It might happen on occasion, but audiences don't want to see that. Both male and female audiences, for the most part, like to see women in at least some degree of danger -- Lifetime TV has worked that business model for years now.

"Put a gag in her mouht" A few of the sweetest words ever spoken.

Although it did not air first, this was the first scene I saw where Lynda was gagged. And what a scene it was. Gagged, with a thick black cleave, tied in place on screen and pulled tight. Then we were treated to three minutes of mmmphhing and stuggling. My only complaint is that her arms were not tied behind her back.

Re; Lynda Carter's scenes
That episode of her in the warehouse was great. And the "Hot Wheels" episode had such a tight cleave on her that she actually rubs her mouth after it's removed. I don't think she was acting there.

Do you have it saved in any way that can be shared?

My comment was a joke. I see absolutely no significance about the new Wonder Woman getting the treatment and having a Steve Trevor figure.

It probably won't happen, Natasha has a new pilot for next season called the Secret Circle. It's from the same producers as The Vampire Diaries.

More info http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/03/natasha-henstridge-joins-the-cws-secret-circle-pilot.html

I'd almost say it was sure to go to series, but if I did, I'd put the kiss of death on it.

Karen Jensen fans should also like the "Fallen, Fallen is Babylon" episode of TV's Bracken's World -- a real classic (in Db).

VIP Trunk Scen
I remember it now. The one that was discussed with the woman tape up in the truk.

I don't know the name, but it was set at a spa. I believe the woman was a worker or guest that was repaced by the villain.

Anyone remember any spa-related episodes?

Recent shows like VIP and She Spies were in that vein

The Colbert report
Blink and you'll miss it scene on The Colbert report last night. As he discussed disasters, he claimed a wind farm had robbed a bank, and cut to a picture of a turbine holding a gun on two hostages, including a gagged girl with hands tapped in front. Not exactly scene of the year, but still kinda neat.

If it deals with a spa, I'm pretty sure the episode is "Mudslide Val," from season 1, episode 19.

I vaguely recall the episode now. Wasn't there an evil Pam Anderson lookalike at an exclusive spa pretending to be her?

Thanks for that, great little scene . Nice close up on her taped wrists, and a decent bit of struggling, really enjoyed it.

And no, i have no idea how to capture it either, though with a bit of luck one of our Scottish friends will have recorded it and it will get posted up somewhere

Eva Luna - alert
Promo for tomorrow's episode of the Spanish language soap "Eva Luna" shows the leading lady, Blanca Soto, loosely hogtied, hands behind back. Doesn't look like she is gagged, but there is only one shot of her in the promo from far off. A girl is in the room with her in the same predicament, but is also shown OTM gagged in some shots.
