The Event
A woman (not a series regular) was tape-gagged on tonight's episode of "The Event." She is sitting on the floor, her back to a bed, hands behind her back and legs bound together with what looked like black plastic ties. Unfortunately, a man is in the same predicament. The episode is titled 'A Message Back' and the scene happens about half way through the episode.

Re: The Event
I believe the actress is named Rebecca Lowman. Some decent close ups of her gagged face in the scene and nice panting reaction as the hero moves to knock her out with a pistol to the head.

Very surprised Hawaii Five-O hasn't delivered anything of note. I figured in its first season they'd be about cheap scenes for promotional purposes.

Castle is a tough one. If it runs long enough, Stana Katic might get a scene, but I still think the daughter will be bound and gagged first.

Re: Adrianne Paliciki: first pic as Wonder Woman
I think we may have missed the obvious. The "satin tight" (Pantyhose)was key to WW attractiveness and femininity. It is the mix of her power and the exposed hose clad upper thigh that excites so many. Like the next guy, I am happy to see an attractive 20 something with large breasts tied. But with the new series, what we all hope for (the ultimate holy grail) is WW bound hand and foot (in boots and hose) and gagged. The new costume seems like a bad mix between the blue suit and her classic attire. Let's hope they smarten up.

Re: Adrianne Paliciki: first pic as Wonder Woman
One more point. To fully appreciate the boots-over-hose look, one only need to imagine our new WW in a modern (no diaper) costume with hose instead of blue spandex and place her in the "missile" scene. Then instead of being spead on the floor, imagine her stripped of her belt and bound lying on a cot in the cell. The camera starts at her feet and pans up. We see coils of white rope lashing her ankles and knees together. Then to her hands, bound behind her back and rope above and below her breasts. Ending with WW waking up gagged with a black cloth keeping a wad of white stuffing in her mouth.

Re: Adrianne Paliciki: first pic as Wonder Woman
Lynda Carter actually had two different costumes as WW. The first looked more like a leotard and was much more flattering than the skimpier one they substituted when they moved the series to the present day.

You are correct. That is Rebecca Lowman, and she did a great job with the scene. She was in my graduating class in a small private Wisconsin college, where she was heavily involved in theatre. Kind of neat to see her crop up in TV. She's been in some small independent films, and on TV I've seen her in Burn Notice and the defunct NBC series Boomtown, which produced some scenes but none with her in it. This was a pleasant surprise.

Young & The Restless
Eden's scene came to an end today with some more silliness. At the start of the episode, she easily slips the blindfold off, and spots a knife. During the next segment, she already has the knife in hand, and in a couple of seconds manages to cut herself free. This being a soap opera, she then can't figure out how to open the front door, but she does manage to set the place on fire. The usual serial hilarity ensues as her rescuers and a hitman converge on her location. All in all, the high point of the scene was the split-second when the blindfold sliding down her face paused over her mouth. For the rest, only slightly better than nothing.

Especially Chuck. It got off to a great start with the SECOND episode of the series. Who would've thought, what 3 or 4 years later it's produced jack shit since.

Anything yet with this show?

It seems to me that after the drought following the collapse of the syndicated adventure shows like VIP, things are swinging in the way of light action featuring women in a way that may yield scenes, most notably with Charlies Angels and Wonder Woman. Cooper and Stone also looks promising, but may not make it to air. A lot has changed since the seventies, namely, pop culture is much more lewd. Charlies Angels never appeared in their underwear nor did they have much of a sex life. People only commented on the fact that Lynda Carter was hot a couple of times. Although they appeared in swimsuits many times, Charlies Angels were only tied in them once, when they were also wearing jackets. Carter was rarely tied in the WW costume, and never gagged while wearing it. Although I have never believed in 'no gag' clauses, I suspect the networks and writers had an informal understanding that bondage scenes were racy and that therefore outfits should be at least a little modest (clearly, once in a while the envelope is pushed). I wonder what the status of these guidelines is these days. I'm sure that, like Sara on Chuck, the Angels will frequently be shown in underwear and have sex lives. In some ways, the more frank culture we have makes writing bondage scenes more difficult. Its more obvious to more people that when you have a woman tied up its for a sexual thrill. Its harder to pretend its just a plot point.

Hell, I think in the comics Wonder Woman has even been subject to bondage jokes from other characters in recent years.

And part of the problem would of course be finding a believeable way to restrain her of course. I don't see them going the 70's route and making it so that she has to spin in order to access her powers and costume, so I'm not predicting any of the "Tie her up and gag her before she can transform!" scenes we got in the old show.

If nothing else, HOPEFULLY we'll at least get bankrobbery or kidnapping scenes with gagged hostages.

Re: Adrianne Paliciki: first pic as Wonder Woman
Looking at the script reviews, the show sounds like even though it'll be darker and more violent than the oldshow, it'll still have plenty of camp and humor.

That formula worked out well for VIP, specifically the campy tone. We just recently spent time discussing and trying to track down a scene where a cute, stylish woman was tape-gagged and stuffed in a trunk so that a villainess could take her place. THAT sort of scenario sounds like the thing this Wonder Woman show could produce. It likely won't be Wonder Woman herself, but people being tied up and such rather than having their throats slit or necks broken (which is probably what a "real" villain would do when assuming an identity) is always a possibility with a campy show.

If WW is not going to be tied up AND gagged, then this is just another show. It may be good or bad, produce a scene or two (odds are, more putsz' than woman) but it will be hardly be worth our time. If on the other hand Diana Prince is dragged from her house in her underware, tied, gagged and stuffed in a trunk it has my interest. If WW is strapped to a pole or a chair Stripped of her power and gagged, then history will be made.

Isla Fisher gagged
I don't know if this has been brought up on this forum yet, but in the new animated film "Rango", apparently the director is into realism and he had the actors act out the scenes like they were their animated characters. The animal played by Isla Fisher is gagged...so that means Isla got gagged, too!

Obviously, this won't be in the actual movie, but maybe we'll see more in the DVD extras. There's a few seconds of her gagged in the link in my homepage URL.
