Record number: 12496 Title: Imagining Argentina (2003) Medium: Movie Actress: Emma Thompson, Sara Fernandez, Leticia Dolera Description: Grim surrealistic tale, set in Argentina during the 1976-83 military dictatorship, of a children's theater director (Antonio Banderas) whose journalist wife (Thompson) runs afoul of the regime when she reports on two disappearances that may be linked to it-and as a result, becomes one of "the disappeared" herself. Her husband then develops a strange clairvoyance that allows him to see what has happened to the growing number of missing, which gains him something of a cult following among their loved ones. His vision of his wife's fate, however, is not as clear, which leads him on a rather disjointed quest to find her. About 35 minutes in he makes his way to an abandoned warehouse where from a catwalk above he views a metal table, upon which his nude wife (either Thompson or a body double) appears lying on her back while being beaten in a flashback shot of about a second. Her captors hide her midsection and the shot is so brief it is difficult to see if she is bound. Then, at about an hour, a fully clothed Thompson is shown bent face-down over the end of a metal bedframe, secured to it by chains attached to leather straps around her wrists, while she is being sodomized by a jailer, who also has all his clothes on (he is shown zipping up his pants after he finishes). Despite the assault being only implied, the scene is still rather difficult to watch. Several minutes later, a young man comes to see the director, telling him his sister is among the disappeared. The director envisions a young woman (Fernandez) shown from behind in a couple of brief shots sitting seminude in a chair with a black hood over her head and her hands being tied behind her. The bonds are clearer in the second shot after the tying is finished. The director, however, isn't fooled; when the hood is pulled off, he declares that the man has no sister and is a spy sent by the government-which he is. Bad move. After he further taunts the junta by putting on a play critical of the government its agents pay him a visit, and his daughter (Dolera) joins her mother in captivity. At roughly an hour and ten minutes she's shown on the same bedframe on which her mother was assaulted, lying on her back in a narrow spreadeagle with similar bonds. She's barefoot and clad in a short green dress. The spy her father exposed then stands over her menacingly with an electric probe that he will use to torture her, but he is not shown using it. A brief head-and-shoulders closeup of Dolera chained to the bed is shown again about twenty minutes later. |

| Title: Zombies On Broadway (1945) Medium: Movie Actress: Anne Jeffreys Description: Jean LaDance (Jeffreys) is abducted by a zombie henchman of a mad scientist, Dr. Paul Renault - played by Bela Lugosi, of course - and awakens to find herself strapped to an examining table and detective gagged with a white cloth. The evil doctor plans to inject her with a serum that will turn her into a beautiful blonde zombie until her two male compatriots bumble into Dr. Renault’s clutches and he decides they'll make better subjects for his experiments. He then consigns Jean to a hidden room. A little later, she starts screaming for help, gets tied up and gagged again for her trouble. She unties herself on-screen and cold-cocks her captor to escape from the room. The first scene starts about the 36:45 mark and lasts for about 45 seconds with cuts between Jean, Dr. Renault and Joseph, Renault’s non-zombie henchman. There are a number of nice close-ups of Ms. Jeffreys and the director does a nice job arraying her hair on the guerney, the better to highlight her gagged face. At about the 51:00 mark, Lugosi orders Joseph to bind and gag the screaming heroine again and we see him enter the hidden room and put a cloth over her mouth. At the 52:00 mark, we see Jean sitting on the floor, detective gagged, ankles bound and wrists tied in front. She soon slips her bonds, knocks out the henchman and makes her escape. This scene lasts about 20 seconds. |

| Title: Darkness (2002) Medium: Movie Actress: Anna Paquin Description: Near the end of the movie, Regina (Anna Paquin) is tied to a chair (hands behind her back) and teased by her captor. Scene begins with a nice close-up of her bound hands. After a bit of chit-chat, the bad guy produces a thick white cloth and puts it over her mouth. The scene is cut at that point, and after a few moments we get a BEAUTIFUL close-up of Paquin cleave-gagged with the cloth. Unfortunately, the captor removes the gag almost immediately, and leaves around her neck. After some talk with the villain, he decides to cut her loose and she runs to save her father. As she runs, she unties the cloth from her neck. She is wearing jeans and a tank top. |

| Record number: 4557 Title: Freddy's Nightmares Medium: TV Series Actress: Maria Richwine, Tara Buckman Description: Episode: "Prisoner of Love" (2.21) Ms. Richwine is a death-row inmate who gets strapped to an electric chair in a dream sequence. This occurs in the first couple of minutes. At around the 25' mark, she is back in the chair and this is not a dream. The priest rigged the chair. Ms. Buckman plays her rival. Just after the 30'mark, it is her turn to be placed in the electric chair to fry. The priest rigs the chair in the same way as her rival. She wakes up and finds herself in a chair. Each arm is cuffed to the chair's arms, and her feet are also in a set of leg cuffs. After the priest gets what he wants, he releases her arms and cuffs her hands together. He places a white cloth in her mouth and proceeds to pick her up. He places her in the casket and then removes the cloth as he closes the lid. This is around the 42-45' marks. He eventually removes her and cuffs her to the chair again. Unfortunately as the episode ends, we see that she is still in the chair since the priest would be unable to come uncuff her. |

Record number: 5827 Title: Blind Obsession (2001) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Megan Gallagher Description: Rebecca Rose (Gallagher) runs afoul of her maniacal sister, who is jealous of her and her blind boyfriend. In the final 30 minutes, Rebecca is knocked out by said sister (Roxana Zal). The scene begins with a close-up of Gallager awakening and finding herself bound to a chair. Her wrists are crossed and secured with duct tape behind her back and her feet (she is wearing black boots) are also taped together. There is much dialogue between the sisters, including a demand by Rebecca to "untie me now!". Gallagher is eventually tape gagged. There is plenty of "mmmphing" and two close-ups of her bound wrists. When the boyfriend turns up looking for her, the sister gags her with more tape to keep her silent. She scoots her chair to a radiator and there are several side views of her sawing the tape against metal to free herself. She eventually takes the tape off her feet and mouth and is briefly shown with tape still clinging to her wrists while rushing to rescue her boyfriend. Rebecca is wearing a red V-neck sweater top, black pants and the aforementioned boots. |
