A Deadly Vision (1997)
Day: Sunday November 04 2007
Time: 1:18AM E.T.
Channel: Lifetime Movie Network
~
Record number: 1691

Title: Murder in Mind (1996) aka A Deadly Vision
Medium: Movie
Actress: Kristin Davis

Description: A serial killer wants to kill a particular police officer. To this end, he kidnaps Kristin, and duct tapes her to a canvas chair. Her hands are taped in front, and a length of tape pins her shoulders to the chair. Her ankles are taped and she's gagged with a strip of tape for good measure. Unusual ending, but I won't spoil it for you.

The action begins around the last ten minutes, and goes 'til nearly the end. IMO a top drawer scene, with a well-sealed tape gag.

Kinky-napper
Sahara (2005)
Day: Sunday November 04 2007
Time: 8:00 PM & 10:30 PM EST
Channel: TNT
Title: Sahara (2005)
Medium: Movie
Actress: Penelope Cruz

Description: Exactly 60 minues in (without commercials), Penelope has her hands tied behind her back. Only one or two brief glimpses at the restraints, otherwise most of the scene is her standing there with her hands behind her back. She shares the scene with Matthew McConaughey and Steve Zahn.

80 minutes in, she is grabbed by the bad guys and led off. We see her next 91 minute in, where she has her hands tightly tied together in front of her with white rope. The bad guy forces her to get into a helicopter, then pulls a gun on her as Dirk attempts to rescue. She finally jumps from the helicopter and there is a bit more fighting before she is knocked out. Some good closeups during all of this. She's wearing a blank tank top and light pants. All over by 98 minutes.

Title: The Sixth Sense
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Jennie Blackton, Tiffany Bolling

Description: Episode: "Witch, Witch, Burning Bright" (1.9)

"The Sixth Sense" was a largely forgettable-and largely forgotten-series starring Gary Collins as a parapsychologist (extrasensory perception and stuff like that)-which lasted for a season and a half in 1972. In this installment Bolling and Cloris Leachman play a young New England woman and her mother who, it turns out, are both descended from a woman (Blackton) burned as a witch in the town three centuries earlier. Her fate is shown in a flashback vision about 25 minutes in, where she appears in several soft-focus shots, wearing a period bonnet and dress, chained and roped to a stake while flames roar about her and she swears a curse on her accusers' descendants. Snippets of this vision appear again at various points throughout the episode.

At the show's climax Leachman draws a pentagram on the ground, driving stakes at each of the star's points, which she describes as being for "each of the limbs and the head." It's implied she spreadeagles her daughter on the ground between the stakes, but she's only shown tying Bolling's right wrist to one of them with a long cord. There are a few head-and-shoulders shots of Bolling taken from above implying her arms are outstretched. When Collins arrives to save the day, Bolling, barefoot in a classic 1970s minidress, is shown on her back with her limbs spread as if she's truly tied to the stakes, but no bonds are clearly visible. Collins goes through the motions of untying her anyway.
